Duke fucking Nukem, old Mario games (NES, SNES, so many good games for these!), The Capcom vs series, Unreal Tournament 99, Quake Arena, and Counter Strike are all amazing games. Nothing else comes to mind at the moment. Also for those who mentioned 007 Goldeneye there is a opensource version being made for the PC. Modeled after the n64 version. Oh, give me a break. Not that they're not good games, but the first is so vastly superior to either that leaving it off must involve severe brain damage... or just the inherent need to see gore fly with every sword swing.

Anyways, thank you Intophagist for finally mentioning MGS3... yeah 1, 2, and 4 are all some of the best games ever, but 3 is the best in the series. Best plot, best bosses, best integration of cutscenes, everything.

final fantasy 7 wins this easy! such magic have never and never will be surpassed by any game ever! it is truly the perfect game. been a few years since i played last time and soon i will start a new game, it will be magical as always. fallout 2 or chrono trigger comes in a honourable second place
