"The Blackening" guitar tone

Anyone knowing what was used for guitars on this MH album ? Sounds like 5150 boosted, 57 or 421 to me. Sounds veeeery good.

warp vst or amp?
this is killer sound - can you tell us how u manage to get it?

warp is a steinberg vst, the chain was this:
tts (5,5,5)
warp 3rd channel with british model
gain at 12
master 5
bass 5
mids 5
treble 6.8
presence 0

after that a couple of curve eq to match 5150 boosted (just few db for each)
and low pass/high pass at wish

dunno i think everything is possible but i think for this kind of tone it was easier with warp.
too bad i can't use guitarhack impulses with it

i have the warp vst. but i cant really match ur sound. ive found out that my sound is pretty lite compared to urs.

probably i can have a screen shot of ur curve eq setting. been playing around with it since yesterday, no luck.

i guitar is an ibanez 7 strings, standard pickups and using a .52 on the low 7th string. Did u compress the file anyways to make it tight?

i recorded with an ibanez rg2228 with emg's and an m-audio firewire 410 but no compression i think, this should differ. I was about to post a preset file but.... holy shit the hd in which i had everything broke and i have nothing now :-( I'll try to make that sound again as soon as possible though...
