Those are all insane, man. I'd really like to see Drawn and Quartered, Disma and Enslaved. Hope Manowar play the classic stuff, their last show in Sao Paulo was awful.

i started liking them after i've seen them live. awesome!!!

:kickass:

I'm hopefully going to the Enslaved show in NYC on Sept 25th.

Saw Amon Amarth Saturday night. Fucking great show.

Played the whole new album, then a second set of 12 songs with a 3 song encore.

Good shit.

Seeing Amon Amarth tomorrow night, got a photopass too. Glad that a show is actually making it to Vegas.

Might be catching some of Bloody Phoenix based on when I get off work this weekend.

Might phtograph Iggy and the Stooges in a couple weeks too. Asides from that there's not much else going on here that isn't 21+.

Just booked a few tickets this morning.

October 23rd - Wolves in the Throne Room (Stereo, Glasgow)
November 18th - An Evening with Dimmu Borgir (Classic Grand, Glasgow)
If anyone else here is going to this then let me know as i dont really know my way around glasgow that well.

Also going to buy a ticket for this when its available:
13.11.2011 - Gorgoroth (Classic Grand, Glasgow)

1 oct - Altar of Plagues
9 oct - Pain of Salvation maybe

sometime november: Amon Amarth, Hammerfall,Iced Earth, Amorphis, UDO. maybe

And a bunch of death metal gigs.

40 Watt Sun is playing in Brooklyn tonight. It's 21+ but I don't give a shit and I'm taking my 18 year old ass to it anyway. I will beg to get in if I have to.

Saw Gigan, Pathology, Blood Red Throne and Grave last night. It is near the end of their tour so all the bands looked tired but they all played solid sets. I came away most impressed with Blood Red Throne; they played with the most energy and enthusiasm. Next concert is Warbringer and Lazarus A.D.

Saw Opeth/Katatonia last night. Katatonia blew Opeth off the stage with their energy and had the crowd into them the entire time. Opeth on the other hand played a terrible growl-less, 90% non-metal set that had the crowd talking and yelling most of the time.

However, I'm seeing Enslaved on Sunday and that should be beyond epic.

I completely forgot how time consuming and energy draining it is to go to school full time and have a job. Out of all those the only ones I actually attended were Grave and 40 Watt Sun. Both were awesome shows though. Grave played all of Into the Grave and the first 2 tracks off You'll Never See. 40 Watt Sun played the whole album and then walked out. For the second time (I missed their 2007 tour) I purchased a ticket to see Enslaved headline and never made it to the show :( Dodens matt informed me of a killer gig in NYC in December that will sort of make up for missing Rites...Inquisition, Mortuary Drape, Negative Plane :kickass:
