I got up at 5:30 left the house at 7:21 today and walked into work at 8:49. 1.5 hrs to work how ridiculous, for a drive I can do in 25 minutes on a Saturday.

It takes me 30 minutes to get to work but a guy that lives like 20+ miles further away from me makes it there in 25.

I hope by next week I can try carpooling and start work at 8 instead of 8:30. I have to change my lunch to an hour though.

One of the priveleges of living in the sticks. It takes me 10 minutes to drive 5 miles to work, and thats all in town. I used to have a 3 minute commute, though! I would probably go insane if I had commutes like you guys do, especially if it was all in traffic.

My commute really sucks because I don't have time to listen to much music on my way to work since it's only a 4 minute drive.
For example, I was listening to Persistence of Time today. I started my commute listening to "Intro to Reality" and I could only get to about half way through "Belly Of The Beast" before I had to park! That sucks!

It's all about choices.
I always worked within 15 minutes of home.
BUT...I love where I'm at now. No crime and it is a stress melter.
I live out in the sticks now, and will never go back to the concrete jungle. I lived in the city my whole life. (Darby...Downriver area)
Definitely worth the drive.

- Don't have to worry as much about my kids being exposed to crack heads or other junkies as much.
- Everyone is friendlier.
- Theft isn't very common.
- Got property for a Pole-barn.
- Got property to ride my ATV's too.
Definitely worth the drive.
