Currently (4:30 AM Central), I've got both of my top picks for 2010 lined up in the queue, Caravellus - "Knowledge Machine" and Utopia - "Ice and Knives." Actually, those two and the Wildestarr cd have been pretty much all I have listened to for the last week or so.

they do have a raw punkish sound. The whole disc is like this. It was really a surprise. I thought it was going to be more of the euro-trad style like Sacred Blood, Airged Lam, and Ruthless Steel, but it wasnt.

Yeah, I have seen the name floating around, mentioned often in the same ilk as Manilla Road, though I can't say I see the similarities, other than they being label mates.

New Firewind

GREAT powermetal CD. Track 7 (Broken) is killer. I love these guys! This is one of those bands who I hope never goes all "experimental" and tries to break new ground. These guys do melodic metal a great justice. Wonderful CD.
