Leprous -- Bilateral <---- By far and away, one of the most amazing pieces of music I have ever heard, much less just this year. Unbelievably diverse, almost a "soundscape," if that's a word. Really obsessed with this album right now. This is one hell of a year for metal, and we still have a ton to come out. But I must say, it's going to take a lot to dethrone "Bilateral" from my number one.
