Dissolving Bonds is incredibly wonderfull... Renkses vocals are so so so beautiful...
And to migs , I had the same sort of "is this my katatonia?" feeling after first hearing the album.
But after a while you start to understand the difference
... and start to appreciate and love it...(well I did anyways

It's different from ,for example , VE because it doesn't sort of "smoothely" takes you trough the melancholy.
The songs to me are more like displaying a sort of "humming pain" with extremely downishness ( is that even a word ?) , to all of the sudden cut you with certain riffs or vocals... to then let you bleed a little and then cut you again. I know that this is a very vague discription but I just don't know how else to say it.
The best word to discribe TGCD to me would be "painfull"...
