The Gaming Thread

And If I decided to behold the power of the Pathfinder beginner box, how much of that $27-30 would you bring home?

I want to adventure hard, I'm just looking for some honesty here.

The box set is heavy you get your money's worth. The box set explains the basics of the game and comes with a free mini dungeon to learn to play. You can then move on to more advanced gaming with the Pathfinder Core Rulebook. They also have campaign setting books like the Inner Sea World guide, and you can also buy PathfinderAdventure Modules. I also recommend the Bestiary book for all the monster stats within the game, once you master the basics you can create your own adventures using the Beastiary, or purchase the modules which are very well done.

What I am saying is Video game worlds are limited to what you can do. With the Pathfinder game the possibilities are endless, and the imagination is the limit. I play video games too, but I would like people to try another type of game. I think you all will enjoy it and happy Halloween.

im not gonna argue, it seems like a fun game actually. ive always wanted to try a table top game with some friends

perhaps settlers of catan

I find most of these dnd clones are inferior no matter what added gimmick they throw in, though with that said, any of them could be a blast with the right group of friends.

^My friend and I went to the mall with the intention of buying the most recent set of D&D rulebooks and monster manuals and whatever else it would take to get started....

We left with some magic decks instead. I don't remember exactly what the cost was but I do remember it was too fucking much. Also we didn't have a dedicated group of players. Also no one wanted to be dungeon master.

We had briefly looked at Warhammer too because it does look like a blast but I wasn't into the idea of reading 40,000 rules, making our own board and painting the pieces. Too tedious.

It's true, I've only heard 2 gunshots per day since it got colder:) (I live across the river from Detroit)

Sounds lovely. Have you ever just sat outside and painted the city?

Seriously though, the government should just bomb that whole city. That, and Oakland.

Maybe LA.

I used to paint warhammer several years ago, it's pretty relaxing, but i am way too slow so i stopped doing it :p i agree about the rules as well, but the codexes are pretty fun to read through sometimes

 i dont think i would even want to meet a dungeon master

also canada is great. i saw a program on windsor/detroit and detroit had one of the highest murder per capita in the country, where as windsor across the bridge had like one murder per year
strict(er) gun laws ftw
