Reactions?

I haven't heard a lot of that, but if Erik doesn't like Aeternus, something's wrong with him, and it's probably gayness.

He might also like two old school American bands, Autopsy and Obituary. I don't see him liking too much more.

Blood Red Throne and Behemoth are for retards.

Whoa I've heard like 4 of those songs. Fuck me I still need to pick up some Exhumed, what a fun band to see in concert.

I could swear you loved Blood Red Throne back in the day....

Which album is that Vader on? Probably on one I've recommended 2349058u0293 times. Oh wait, maybe it's on the new one with the name and all.

Decent. Mine would be better. :Smug: :loco:

Of those, I've only heard Vader, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth, Nile, Aeternus, Morbid Angel and Immolation. I guess I gotta fire up good ol' DC again...

What's generally considered to be "best" of the artists mentioned?

Says me:
Vader - De Profundis
Cannibal Corpse - Vile
Nile - In Their Darkened Shrines
Morbid Angel - Domination (but all of them are awesome)

Individual songs:
Vader - Blood of Kingu
Cannibal Corpse - ORGASM THROUGH TORTURE (OMG SO AMAZING)
Nile - Sarcophagus
Morbid Angel - Eyes To See, Ears to Hear (but again, I have heard exactly ZERO bad Morbid Angel songs)

I bought Blood Red Throne's debut, don't remember the name, but I know it had blood on the front. Anyway, I thought it was pretty standard stuff. Nothing special about it really. It wasn't horrible, just nothing that sets it apart.

Meh, for me, death metal's only worth something if it's a gordian knot/Ulysses type mathematically bashing you to death deal like Cryptopsy or Psycroptic. I don't care how samey sounding, it has to be impossible to play and memorable enough to withstand hours of intense dissection and study.

Well, just give Erik some Septic Flesh and Neuraxis songs to listen to.
