The I'm Going/Just Went to a Concert Thread

Went to a Draconian show last night in Tel Aviv. They were warmed up by two Israeli bands, Desert and Distorted. Desert were pretty awful for my taste, but Distorted were fine. The show started too late, and Draconian went onstage at about 00:30.
It was a great show, though they had some sound issues, mainly Lisa's mic being way too loud. The set list was fine, including Heaven Laid in Tears, She Dies (the highlight of the evening imo), The Abhorrent Rays, A Scenery of Loss, The Cry of Silence, When I Wake and more songs I'm too tired to dig up right now, mainly from Turning Season Within. They encored with Death Come Near Me.
The audience was its usual Israeli self - loud and loving.

I went to Rock Fest in Atlanta on Saturday. It was pretty fucking fun! Was anyone else there? The Masquerade was the perfect venue for a metal festival.

Saw Katatonia and Marduk yesterday in Luleå, Sweden.
Katatonia was great, and not only because they ended the set with Murder. Very nice atmosphere.
Marduk was a little let-down, as the vocalist sounded way worse than on studio recordings. He was very good on stage though, and they played Wolves so I'm content.
The overall sound was very good as well, all the instruments (and vocals) could be heard very clearly on both concerts.

Next gig'll probably be Satyricon in Oulu, Finland in late April. Anyone else going?

Hopefully will be seeing Korpiklaani on October 16th. More bands that are coming are Sisters of Mercy, Dream Theater and Paradise Lost, but I won't be seeing them.

i saw morbid angel on tuesday. Got to be one of the best shows i've ever seen. Can't wait to catch their next performance. This upcoming tuesday i am going to see mayhem and marduk, and sunday of the same week, absu. sadly, no more shows until september, it going to a boring as summer

Most recently saw Opeth in May. Upcoming concerts I have on tap this summer/fall are Incubus and Dream Theater (on back to back nights August 1 and 2), Porcupine Tree in September, and Metallica in November. Isis just played at a tiny venue in Boston's outskirts (650 max capacity), only a 15 minute walk from my apt, but my girlfriend already had plans for us and I couldn't convince her to let me back out. Really hoping Katatonia will play somewhere in the Northeast following their upcoming release.
