The LIVE Emperor CD

I've never heard any of the "EMperial Live Ceremony" (not sure exactly what it's called). IS it any good? I have a hard time imagining that Emperor live can do the albums credit - unless it's been overwhelmed with overdubs....but I'm not much of a fan of live albums.

Is this album as good as the reviews say it is?

If you dont buy it and love it then you are not a fan of Emperor. Not because a "fan" owns and loves every album but because IT IS THAT FUCKING GREAT! Its also on dvd if you didnt know.

Emperor are actually very good live. Pretty standard show, but a great sound. I don't know if i could actually sit there and listen to it just on cd, so I bought the DVD. 'I am the Black Wizards' is brilliant live.

Yes. It's amongst the most solid sounding live albums I've ever heard. I don't think band's should release live albums if they won't be just as good as on the album and at the same time have the live energy that makes good live shows so good, and Emperor has succeeded in capturing just that, a flawless performance along with plenty of energy. It's damn good and worth your $.

It is a great live album. Get the DVD if you can. To see them play live is much better than just listening.

I have the DVD.. and it's a friggin awesome show.. it sounds great, it's played perfectly, and ihsahn needs a haircut.

And samoth even magages to hide himself in the mist.. AWESOME.
