The new pic thread

I'm cutting my hair this/next week - just found a place, only need to find time now.

p.s. Not cutting all the hair, but going to change the style. I'm afraid it's going to be more "emo", but who cares.

I'm searching for a place where they would (for a fair price) trim my hair, although I'm not searching very actively.

@gav:  at your hair... i loved it a while ago, but right now it is quite too much.

my brother has curly hair too. The only problem was that he hardly ever combed them... Now he has short hair because he was obliged to cut them for school.

What? I will tolerate zero profanity against old, long, dead hair!

I haven't cut my own hair in like a year, it is not at all impressive, really.

did you know that your hair actually grow faster when you get a trim regulary? When i started to grow my hair, after 1 or 2 years i had a lot of split ends, and now that i let those get cut every 6 months or something, my hair look way better :headbang:

Yeah actually I've heard I should trim it on a monthly basis; however, I have no split ends ( \o/ ) which is probably due to my hair being curly.

I have noticed it doesn't grow very fast, though, so that's yet another reason to get it trimmed.

The splitting will surely multiply the amount of hair you have at least by two. That means happy happy joy joy.

Now, seriously, I request for countermeasures to diminish the Damage Done to your hair. Let me tell you about the loss of all, the failing of all that we hold dear: our hair.

Maybe you think that what is left is but a shatter and what is broken can't be whole, but I tell you: So what if healing takes forever? Break the path and let's get going!

There is no need for you to start revolutions, I don't want you to talk to the minions. Just show me a brand new head, an open mind against a dying hair.

Ok, that was just scary.

In terms of hair though, I often mourn the fact that I cannot grow mine long. Well, I can, but the stage between "really short" and "cool and long" is "fugly". And that's a rather long stage to go through. The problem is that my hair has so many whorl points, and is so straight, that basically I wind up having very nice, but unmanageable hair pointing in every single direction. If it reached critical mass, the weight would handle that, but until then, it would just look dumb.

Which is a pity, because my hair grows hella fast. Except in critical places, like the junction between beard & stache.

I've seen it all. I went from 1 inch to 17 and then back to 1 and believe me, I'm happy I had my hair long for about two years but now I'm glad they're short again. My hair is wavy when long, à la Robert Plant, but dark brown. They were...not so easy to handle but beautiful. However they are short now, and just as beautiful, only a fraction of the work. Besides, it might be less spectacular to headbang with short hair, but now my neck never hurts after a show, the effort is minimal.

Also, my hair grows hella slow.

Actually I'd like to say that, as opposed to some other people I've heard talking about the issue, to me it is actually easier to take care of my long hair than it was getting it to look acceptable when It was short.

Back then it was just impossible to handle, it needed tons and tons of products to stay put, I definitely had a hard time fixing my hair when it was short.

Now it's all bells and whistles because I can just add some mousse and comb a little, and it's pretty much set. Only washing it takes longer.
