The new pic thread

Hey whatever, it's a Chevrolet Colorado -- feel free to look up the EPA specs if you don't believe me.

Still, it's big and trucks aren't my thing anyway :)

Plintus, the second one is cooler - and not just because it's black.

#2 doesn't come as a convertible:

Blue-grey metallic is awesome too, but there quite many of those (of that color, not too many Crossfires in the streets though):

@plintus: i prefer the black one, i'm not a fan of convertibles anyway. who's the maker of those cars?

Black one is Hyundai Tiburon, it's quite cheaper than Chrysler's Crossfire, and somewhat more practical, I think, but if you need to just get from point A to point B in style :)heh:) - Crossfire convertible is my choiceL even though I'm not a huge fan of convertibles myself, coupe Crossfire looks like a hunchback, wwhile covered roadster maintains it's coolness.

I like all the aspect of interior being associated with plane's cockpit, it's separated - so no blow jobs on the road!! =) Prices for used ones start around $17,000 (~25 for used convertibles, >30 for new ones, not sure), lease is around $400/month. Which is quite affordable and reasonable, I say. Would be interested in maintain/upkeep info: my friend has a Benz Kompressor (230 CLK, I think), poor bastard can't replace side mirror, because it costs around $300...

Plintus: I also really like the black one, but I'm wondering if it is just the lighting in that picture messing with my brain and making me think that it is cooler.

Nikki: Cute picture. :)

A. It's not huge. It's a compact pickup. Not much bigger than your average family sedan.
B. It gets between 25-28 mpg.
C. It has flex-fuel capabilities for ethanol.
D. I only drive about 100 miles or so a week.

Feel free to apologize at any time for your ridiculous outburst.

Maybe when you apologize for blocking the view of drivers behind you and for raising insurance rates for all drivers and for spilling out of your parking space and for using up a disproportionate amount of a finite resource. But don't worry, I'm sure all will be forgiven when you slap a "Support the troops" ribbon on the back.

Jesus, you people are fucking assholes.

I'll just take my moonshine swillin inbred NASCAR lovin white trash ass to some other board then. Apparently that must be what I am since I drive a pickup truck.

You bunch of cunts.

Insurance is raised higher cuz women behind the wheel are like monkey with a grenade: you never know where it's going to be thrown :D

Oh man, you made me laugh =)

Seeing a woman in a nice car I always wonder how many miles of cock she had to suck off to actually get in there...
Pft, now you're just being ridiculous.

If i ever get in a nice car it won't be by sucking miles of cocks off. It will be by chopping brains or livers off.

Hyundai, eh? Corean then, a wannabe-japanese ;)

I really like the idea of this car:
content.Par.0084.Image.jpg

It comes in "Blue Motion" edition, which will consume little over 5l/100km or for the murricans: 45mpg

Personally, if I had the money, Id buy this one:

using up a disproportionate amount of a finite resource.

Well, by "disproportionate" you probably mean that it's much more than he really needs, but even regular cars use up more of that resource than we actually need, not to mention that alternative resources (no less finite, though) are already available on the market -- either at fabulous prices or in ridiculously hard to find supply. What most customers can reasonably buy with average salaries and average traveling habits is a waste of resources no matter what, the same way that your average Coke bottle is - strictly speaking - an excess. Maybe I'm exaggerating here, but as long as products are being marketed following a certain logic, the customer's choice to buy something a little less or a little more disproportionately unnecessary may have little or no effect in how resources will be exploited in the future.

Oh no guys what have you DONE!

@Jolty: I hope you know those pictures from last page would have won you the newbie of the year award. I hope you cry about it before you sleep.

@the cultural warriors: CALM THE FUCK DOWN FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!

As a professional economist, I am in favor of high taxes on cars that generate an above-average amount of pollution; this is said not in a moralistic sense but in a strictly cost-benefit sense, taking the lead from the concept of negative externalities.

On the other hand, I think that judging people based on the car they drive is not very appropriate. A small, eco-friendly car is the new cool, but the whole concept is as flawed as the old cool, ie fast expensive cars.

I do drive a low-to-mid-range sports car and am very happy with it, wouldn't buy a truck or a SUV because I don't need it and don't like the driving style associated with it, not to mention the drama of parking spaces in this city.

However, if someone likes to have a truck and is prepared to pay the extra fees that come with large cars (for example, here in Italy he would have to pay a property tax that is 2.5 times the one I pay), let him do that without namecalling.

And on this, I'll have you know that my car is perfectly nice and didn't involve any amount of fellatio. (also: had a single car accident in my life, and that is because - as rahvin can confirm - we were attacked by a random car going in the wrong direction; and am in top insurance class where motorbikes are concerned, because i never hit any moving object, although i once fell to the ground due to a patch of oil).
