The new pic thread

@the cultural warriors: CALM THE FUCK DOWN FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!

The funny thing is, the two "cultural warriors" were both very calm and reasonable in their arguments, simply questioning the necessity of the truck and pointing out their viewpoints in a civil manner, whereas the owner of said truck (and to a lesser extent, you) yelled profanities and silly insults at them - they must've hit a nerve, I suppose.

Though they did not use profanities, I can't necessarily say those two posts were civil. Perhaps I'm falling to the internet faux pas of assuming intent and attitude behind a post. And, to his credit, Antihero's original response was well thought out and even in bulleted list format.

I now own a Jeep Liberty '02. Uses alot of gas? Yes. Well, I guess it's as efficient as any Jeep could be. Will I be laughing at people in tiny cars when they're stuck in a foot of snow? Yes. Does it actually have the practical side of my having to drive around construction sites without ripping the undercarriage to pieces? Sigh, yeah, I guess so.

Plintus. Get the first one. It just, for some reason, seemed incredibly... stubby to me. Which of course made me think.... "Plintus! The one in the short, stubby car! Hooray Plintus!" (By the way, I really mean get the second one. First one looks nasty.)

Ah, Monday mornings.

I came to apologize to the rest of the board for my language. I should not have allowed my anger to get the best of me.

As for the two jerks who insulted me for no reason whatsoever, think whatever you wish. You can look down your nose at me all you want because of what I drive, or where I live.

You would think someone who claims to be so high-minded and cares about the world so much would be above such small-minded bigotry, but obviously that's not the case here.

Oh boy... would you've been on the board long and often enough

And it matters where you live and what you drive (since it simply matters what you listen to...) I'll save you rom real life examples this time though.

I disagree, It doesn't matter to me at all where people live or what they drive. I have never considered those variables to be important when judging people, neither friends, nor potential human female partners.

However, if someone likes to have a truck and is prepared to pay the extra fees that come with large cars (for example, here in Italy he would have to pay a property tax that is 2.5 times the one I pay), let him do that without namecalling.

The point, which I thought my post made clear, is that his choice of "car" negatively impacts everyone else.

edit: And there was no namecalling.

Well, I guess you'd consider anything to get laid.

"No thanks" for me.

I would guess I am way pickier than you when it comes to personality of the would-be partner.

@Siren: If your UFO/Time Machine was built before 89201.34 A.C., you're totally not getting a piece of this.

Yeah, right, I just bag it and shag it. But of course... :Smug:

I mean no offense, but you sure give me the impression that the things you seek for in a partner are: Looks, Social status, and Style. And you also seem to be a "bag it and shag it" person.

I don't intend to judge you, but I really don't have to think about it too deeply to reach those conclusions.

Maybe I'm wrong, though.

That doesn't define a decent person, but yes, everything you described attracts me. I've been around quite some time and tried quite a few things, and I'm not tired of trying some more, but I had to narrow "search parameters" (or raised my demands high enough, whichever). I've come a long way to be where I am, I did it by myself, and I'm not going to stop or let anyone to slow me down.

I wish I could read what I'm typing, as I surely sound like an asshole (try dozen cups of coffeee overnight under pressing deadline, and I would like to see what will be coming out of your dirty mouth  )

@rahvin: I am Mount Hyjal :heh: For teh Alliance!!! (didn't play since... March?)

Is this a chat thread, btw? :err:
