@Tritonus: You already put one before, if ye didn't notice. And he still looks ugly.

No, but I have one when he lies on a white sheet wearing nothing but a necklace...

^ Please save that to yourself :p .

Well, Mexico won agaist Iran. DAMMMIT!!! I fucking hate Mexico (in what football concerns0. I wish Iran had won  .

I liked the Angola-Portugal game, it was quite intense imo (even though the anchorman kept complaining it was boring in the second half). I was supporting Portugal for most of the game, but the way Angola fought till the end impressed me and made me wish they had scored a goal.

I wish Angola had put more effort into equalising in the last 10 minutes. They still only really had one up front right until the end of the game; stick a centre half up there, give the forward some support. They had a few free kicks near the end that they could've put into the box, but they played them short instead and lost the chance. One of our commentators said something like: "Angola would've made more friends if they'd have lost 2- or 3-0 from pushing forward too much than losing 1-0 but not going all out for an equaliser."

Mexico looked quite handy against Iran, so I hope they beat Portugal. Portugal have a recent history of knocking England out of tournaments, and we could meet them in the quarter-finals if the results happen to pan out that way. I don't want that.

I'm looking forward to Australia-Japan today in the hope that it will be a fast-paced Premiership style game rather than the slower continental style. Maybe not much chance of that, playing in the mid-afternoon heat of a German summer. :(

it pisses me off... I have to go to germany twice during the wm and its such a shit with full trains, trainstations and strong controls at the border... just to say I find soccer rather boring, I tried to watch a game this weekend (sweden) what resulted in falling asleep after half an hour...

I only saw NED-SCG yesterday, because of the DM concert I went to. Pretty boring actually. Robben is a great player, but if hes going to "support" his team the way he did, bye bye NED. No other player is worth any comment.

CZE-USA today - a must! Ill miss AUS-JAP, which is a bummer, but I have a project to finish and cant leave work that early today.

This evening Italy will play against Ghana.
I wonder if Totti will play... he's not at 100% of condition. However without Gattuso the match will be very hard because he's our "dobermann player" :D and we need him to contain the physical strength of african players.

Forza Azzurri.

Well, Netherlands barely won aginst Serbia. Or is it Montenegro? I wonder what'll happen with the team after the WC. In case you don't understand me, the country Serbia Montenegro doesn't exist anymore. Now it is Serbia, and another country, Montenegro. The latter was the one who got separated.

.

Serbia will play in the Euro 2008 Qualifications and Montenegro will not since the draw for the qual. has already been done. They will both play as seperate countries in the qualifications for World Cup 2010.
Netherlands sucked and S&Cg sucked even more, the Portugal vs Angola match was a bore especially in the second half.
I'm not sure if it's me but i don't think that i saw one high-quality-breath-taking-lots-of-goals game in this world cup, i wait for Brasil to make things interesting.

Have you seen the first one, GER-CRC? Lots of goals and pretty interesting. Also SWE-TRI, no goals, but very good. But I agree about Brazil, although I hope todays match CZE-USA will also be interesting.

Sure that we(Spain)are going to fall eliminated the first round, our team sucks,XD.We can do nothing if Fernando Torres is playing and Morientes at home(this is only one of the thousand examples). As every year,I'll enjoy the precious touch of Brazil, the strong game of England and the ''surprise team'' of the championship(in the Eurocup were the greeks, let's see who's now the revelation team).

Good matches yesterday. The Czechs won big style, those three shots of Rosicky and two goals were totally amazing. Kollers goal was great too, great pass from Grygera, too bad that Koller injured his thigh, this guy is really unlucky.

I havent seen AUS-JAP, only in the news, the end mustve been really kickass.

Italy vs. Ghana was a good match, Ghana has a good team, but the players either love the ball too much, or they pass it too much, nothing in between, which results in their total inability to get into the penalty area. Pirlos goal was excellent!

Looking forward to Brazil today. :Smokin:

Here in North America we're not really into european football, but I have italian roots, and one of my uncle is 100% italian, so he watch the FIFA world cup a lot, and I tried, and I LIKED IT, so now I look every single match that I can ! :D
In Montreal, there is a lot of different ethnic groups, so we kind of hear a lot about the FIFA World Cup anyway hehehe!
I can't make any predictions though, that's over my knowledge about it!
Hehe ! :D

It's cool that you got that from you italian roots! I'm in Minnesota, and most of the people don't know anything about their millions of roots.
One of the funniest things i hear of here is: "You are Italian?? Me too!! I'm 5% italian!!" i can't help loughing everytime :)

Anyway, i can't wait to see Italy kick US's ass in Saturday's match :D

Wow, I can't believe that Japan lost!!! Man, I was really hoping that they'd win, but they ended loosing 3-1. In the last 10 min.

KUSOU!!!

(That's shit in Japanese so ye know).

I'm still not over it, dammit. I was talking to a Japanese teacher in my Uni., and well, she was really pissed off. She said the game ruined her day hehe. I understand her, since it ruined mine.

Haha well, at least the US lost. For a lot. The US suck. Or maybe... (@Solefald):

The USA don't exist (*3)
-But today-I'm not pissed!

 :headbang:

Wow, also great game between France and Switzerland. Tis amazing that France hasn't made any goals in any WC since they won theirs!!!

Great job Switzerland!!! :kickass:

Ahhhh, I wanted Croatia to win against Brazil, but they couldn't :ill: . Man, how I wish that Brazil won't pass to the 2nd round. Quite unlikely I know, but hey, shit happens (for them  ).

I'm a bit pissed with Croatia because they had a few good chances, they could've even won the game IMO. Ah well, nothing to do now, they did a really good job, Brazil is a good team and loosing 1- 0 to them is quiote honourable.

Lets see how the match between Germany and Poland turns out tomorrow. I really want it to be a tie, since that'll be the best for us CRns.

In the beggining of this thread I said ,my fave team was Deutschland, but noww I'm really doubting it. Maybe it was because of the match in which we lost, but ah well, I don't know.

What I'm sure is that I don't want Brazil to win. BUUU Brazil BUUU!

Hey Bloodred Ridin Hood, your post are BIG!

BRA-CRO was a disappointment, the only ones worth mentioning are Kaká and Roberto Carlos, great game from both of them. Croatia was fucking weak, they really couldve made something out of the game, but they played badly.

France isnt worth shit, Zidane is up for a really stupid end of his career, like he hasnt had enough in Japan. Hood is right - ZERO goals for France on the World Cup since 1998, can anything be more ridiculous? BUT, they shouldve got a penalty kick, that was a clear hand.

I really expected more from Brasil but at least ther played an open game and had chances just as Croatia did. I liked the way Croatia played, attacking against Brasil is the right way to play even if you lose. They had chances and i don't agree that they played badly, they were also lucky because it could have been 4-0 if Ronaldihno and Ronaldo were a bit more accurate.

The French are a disgrace :) I'm really sorry that the Swiss didn't turn that post into a goal.

@BRH I could never be in favour of Germany, don't know why but i just can't :)
