I think france just had good luck when they won back in 1998. Brazil werent in the best conditions to win (what happened to Ronaldo? I am not sure, it was a while ago).
And they had Zidane. At that time he was a good player, but now he is getting too old and cant do anything good anymore. Anyway, I hope France wont pass the first round

Well, Mexico won agaist Iran. DAMMMIT!!! I fucking hate Mexico (in what football concerns0. I wish Iran had won .

I didn't know they hated us so much there. It's understandable though, since we've kicked your costa rican asses with a yawn in every single game we've ever played.

Anyway, it did surprise me that Iran got all tired so quickly. At least on paper they seemed pretty strong. Oh well, we'll see what happens next in this mediocre group.

Probably because no one likes Germany. I don't like Germany either, but I still wanted them to win so that there's more chance of England avoiding them in the next round. It's a horrible position to be in, wanting Germany to do well for a couple of matches, but it's worth it. Just about.

My bet will be: 35 min paraguay, 67 min Larsson, 78/83 Zlatan. Equals 2-1 for Sweden. What's you bet?

Talk about dreaming though. England-Germany games are always too tight, no team ever scores 5 against the other, and even more especially not England when we're playing in Germany... no, hang on a minute...

For Sweden-Paraguay, before the tournament started I had it down for a 1-1 draw. Now though I think Sweden need it too much, so I think 1-0 or 2-0 to Sweden. Ideally I'd like Sweden to not get 3 points though, which coupled with a win for England would virtually mean us winning the group.

Ecuador are looking pretty good. It remains to be seen what they do against Germany in their final group match, but I can see them causing an upset to someone - though whether it's Germany next week or maybe England or Sweden in the next round I don't know.

Ah, what a deception, I new CR was going to loose, but not like that. The team really didn't do a good game, so it's back her on the 21 . What's funny is that Ecuador wasn't really that good, I mean, I was expecting more from both teams. Quite a boring game actually.

Ahhhh my mom started crying when Ecuador made the 3d goal , she's more fan than me, I was laughin like this all the time.

I feel real pity for CR's goal keeper, Jose Francisco Porras, since he is the reason why CR didn't loose with more goals against, he really deserves praise, he did a good job *claps*.

I'll see the game between between Sweden and Paraguay if I can, since I had a problem with my girl , so she's gonna come to talk things out. Anyway,

Even though i was with Sweden, in the end i wanted Paraguay to score a goal.. Those cute little things were running around so hard and kicking the ball with so much passion.. I felt bad for them when they lost and cried, i couldn't be happy for Sweden.

Well, Sweden was only a bit luckier this time. Didnt play bad, but couldnt score again. I stopped watching after the first half.

ENG-TRI: now that was a match. Trinidad is definitely something, they still have a theoretical chance to go to the quarterfinals. England played a lot better than with PAR, I was really happy for Steven, wonderful goal, easily the best player on the pitch.
