That album is indeed awe-inspiring...many people find the album cold because of its instrumentation, but I think it's a rare case where the technicality of the music adds immensely to the album's feel, and it matches the album's themes perfectly...it manages to sound mechanical and highly emotional at the same time.
I agree.

New Zero Hour early next year (finally...)

That is AWESOME news. :kickass:

That's a pretty good list... though admittedly, I recently jettisoned my Dio collection.

I don't think "cold" is necessarily a bad thing. I love the fact that "Towers of Avarice" is so cold. It's a cold, mechanical, brutal, stark album.

IF YOU'RE NOT INTO CHEMICAL WEDDING
THEN YOU ARE NOT MY FRIEND

Conversely, if I agree with you wholeheartedly, does that make us best friends? Further still, how much loving of CW will it take to get you in the sack? :loco:

* as in "non-extreme metal"

Agreed. I bought this shit in '99 and it is STILL fuckin magical (alchemical?).

This Erik/MadeInNewJersey conversation was predictable as fuck!

Never heard this "Chemical Wedding" album, should I? I'm not too much into Maiden or heavy metal for that matter but a couple songs now and then are ok.
