I've used thordendal tones for bass and guitar. Very nice (instant) bass distortion IMO. Some of the presets are still unusable though.

Seems like this might be worth buying even just to cover that super processed 'shuggah sound and to get a few cool bass distortions.

Deadstar : what are the presets used for each guitar ? and bass ? and the processing you did ?

The only reason why I would buy it. Never been satisfied with plugins for the bassdistortion.

For guitars I used and combined the 2 thordendal presets called LR1 and LR2. they actually sounded quite boomy with my setup so some multiband comp and post eq were required.
Bass is Zombass 2 Di -> Ezmix (thordendal preset) -> that's it

Jeff, the bald guy in the picture on page three is most likely Mattias Eklund, Toontrack's founder. Not to be confused with Mattias IA Eklundh of Freak Kitchen, the long-haired guy next to him.
There's a promotion from Thomann to get a Crossgrade from EZdrummer to Superior Drummer + the Rock Solid EZX for 99,-. I'll wait for the rest of Metal Month but if there isn't something like a new Superior Drummer or something I'm most likely going to get that since it seems like a great bang for the buck!

A lot of modern metal is based around bass drum patterns and synchronized guitar and drum work. This pack focuses on just that and will put you at the helm of a monster drumming vehicle spitting out ideas for riff after riff after riff!
All material was played by Matt Halpern. Being the drummer in Periphery, one of the hottest and brightest shining acts in today's American metal scene, he has in just a few years gone from relatively unknown to being "the talk of drum town", as Modern Drummer put it in the story on him that graced their July 2012 issue. The second you call up a groove and Halpern starts pounding away, you'll be the first to attest to the fact that yes, he has indeed taken polyrhythmic and "Djent" drumming to a completely new level of sophistication.
