The only thing worse than bonus tracks:

hmmm, the "For Funerals To Come" EP at the end of Brave Murder Day never really was an issue to me, but that's probobly because I heard BMD in mp3 format long before I finally got around to buying it, and then the bonus tracks then were just an extra incentive to buy the album at that point.... hmmm...

doing some artwork
Speaking of which, love the artwork on the new Stand-Up Guy album. Now I just need to get my hands on that recording.

When Paul sent me their two demos, I was kinda underwhelmed. Both demos only have 3 songs, and are over within 15 minutes. But man, I've been playing those two demos a lot while at work, and they fucking rule! I especially like their morose instrumentals. Stand-Up Guy is almost like a somber, more hardcore Neurosis.

Have you heard it?

I like Digimortal. but then again i have shitty taste in music (according to most on UM, but ah, fuck em) so i guess thats expected.... heh

As for the FF bonus tracks, i havent really paid attention to them.... i haven't heard the Digimortal bonus tracks, but from the others, 0-0 Where Evil Dwells is an awesome tune. its brutal

NAD: While that does ruin continuity and therefore sucks, I can't really complain because Funeral Wedding is fucking awesome...that is the version you have, right?
Yeah the songs are fine, it's the continuity bit that kills it. Several times I've actually yelled "NOOOOOO!!!!!11111111" and hit stop right quick for a few moments, then let the boner tracks play.

the album is very good
theres a lot of the ep stuff on it, but its played slightly slower and its darker sounding, more menacing, therefore better ;)
if thier label does thier job and gets some decent distro going it should make a few waves for them

sort of related....
have you heard the dagda J?
pete scald has just joined them on bass for the album and some touring
don't know if it's very permanent but it should be good fun for him
dagda stuff can be downloaded free at http://www.jobbykrust.com/dagda/

listening to obsolete right now, its been a while and its actually better than I remember
the drums sound great

I've heard of The Dagda, but it's kinda hard to come by some of their recordings, especially here in the States.
