In the USA you can gauge how wealthy and educated a place/school is by the percentage of Jews - if a place has lots of Jews and Asians it's bound to be a low-crime, high-income area.

This has been very true in my experience

This. There were easily 300+ Jewish kids in my high school and they're all over the place around here. The stereotypes are definitely based in reality.

Poor people like myself almost never socially interact with Jews. "Racist" or not, the fact remains that Jews don't socialize with "commoners". I had to meet wealthy people before I met a single Jew.

That pretty much describes where I grew up.
And there are rich Jews, poor Jews, and a lot of middle class Jews. They tend to clump together, so if you live in an area where rich Jews live you'll think all Jews are rich and if you live in an area where poor Jews live they'll all seem poor. In America Jewish communities can sometimes be pretty closed off to outsiders (I guess that's a natural response to getting fucked up by everyone else for a couple thousand years).
Suparmurat, if you came to Brookline MA, which is a heavily Jewish, middle-class, liberal area, you would meet tons of Jews who would chill with you because they're pretty assimilated here. There are, however, a number of conservative families who don't even interact with assimilated Jews and send their kids to different schools and shit.

And none of this has shit to do with race or religion, it's all a question of where you come from.

Wait I remember actually meeting a jew once. It was an old man who had been in a concentration camp who came to my school and talked, number marking on his hand and all that. It wasn't really relevant to anything, from what I remember at least. Jews get too much exposure, just like the Irish.

hey it's the pics thread! so me and a couple friends went hiking today, and my friend Jules said she could feel some blisters forming on her heels because she wasn't wearing the right socks. Here are said blisters:

and she STILL had to hike back downhill with us. I gave her some alcohol pads and moleskin and that helped a bit.

socks like thorlos or merino wool socks which are generally made from acrylic and polyester. they have reinforced heels and toes and do a better job at regulating the temperature of your feet compared to cotton which just acts like a damp towel around your foot. a common saying among backpackers and hikers is "cotton kills" (which goes for t shirts as well)
