The Purchases Thread

Taking advantage of the JB 20% off sale and a voucher I recieved for Christmas, I brought this haul home yesterday:

Ozzy Osbourne - Ozzmosis - great album, even better for $6.50.
Rob Zombie - Educated Horses - have heard this is a weak album so didn't pick it up til now. $8. Win.
Black Label Society - Order of the Black - have this one about halfway through in the car at the moment, sounding killer! Zakk is back!
Spiritual Beggars - Down To Zero - great 70s rock like Rainbow and stonery Sabbath, cross with more modern power metal elements. Digging it so far.
Dommin - Love Is Gone - Goth rock. Checking these guys out at Soundwave/supporting Rob Zombie so thought I'd give it a whirl. Sounds good on first listen.
Kamelot - Poetry for the Poisoned - have heard good things about this and love some of their previous material.
Scorpions - Sting in the Tail - Again this has gotten good reviews so why not!

Also picked up the self titled ep by Wollongong band Troldhaugen. Very Finntroll styled folk metal but pretty good stuff if you're into that kinda thing! Check out a track here: http://troldhaugen.bandcamp.com/album/troldhaugen-e-p

I need too watch that again, it has been a while, but it is awesome, that and Sepultura's Live in Sao Paulo, both suffer from dodgey mixes, but the bands, and crowds are so on form it is ridiculous

A few things I have picked up lately:

Filter - Anthems For The Damned

Editors - The End Has A Start
Editors - In This Light And On This Evening
Kaiser Chiefs - Off With Their Heads
New Order - Technique
Grinspoon - Six To Midnight
Depeche Mode - Tour of the Universe cd/dvd

How good is Brushfires for the mind?? I love it. Still need to get the new IE album though.

I had a semi-decent haul last week, it included Primal Rock Rebellion, and I finally got my hands on a new copy of Entombed's Left Hand Path, such a good album for what it was/is

Dead Can Dance - Anastasis

Been waiting 16 years for this (roughly 10 since they announced a new project together) and it is pretty much worth the wait.
slides right back into the sound that they were developing when they split and whilst Lisa Gerrard has done samey stuff with her soundtracks (Gladiator & Legend of the Guardians) Brendan Perry has developed his singing nicely without losing a note.

If you are a fan, you MUST buy. If you are yet to get into them, a good place to start. :headbang:
