The Thread Where You Talk About Music You Like

Thergothon is similar to Demilich except slowed down so painfully that it is absolutely horrific (in the best way) to listen to.

Alienation Mental is owning me at the moment

Great band with a freaking crazy ass drummer.

I've been getting owned by Japanische Kampfhörspiele's new one, Hardcore Aus Der Ersten Welt, its an extremely good pile of grindcore madness.

I've also been listening to Anaal nathrakh's new one at least once a day for about two weeks now. You should all go 'acquire' it, right now.

Age of Silence - Acceleration
Kekal - 1000 Thoughts of Violence
Korovakill - Waterhells
Mystic Forest - Waltz in the Midst of Trees

All excellent progressive/"avant guard" BM albums.

Been listening to a variety of things lately: Wind Through the Trees, Aegrimonia, Nasheim, Lethal, Toxic Holocaust, Kaamos, Johann Mertz, Arnold Schoenberg, Arnold Bax, Ljå, Holmgang, Angantyr, Taake, Svartsyn, and Akihma.

Can anyone recommend me atmospheric death metal? I enjoy Demigod's Slumber of Sullen Eyes, Wicked Innocence's Omnipotence and Fleshcrawl's Descend into The Absurd.

All great CDs. "Atmospheric" is kinda subjective...I personally don't think I listen to anything I don't consider atmospheric. Anywho, you've probably got most of these, but:

Adramalech - Pure Blood Doom
Adramalech - Psychostasia
Aeternus - Beyond the Wandering Moon (if this counts)
Aeternus - ...And So The Night Became (ditto)
Afflicted - Prodigal Sun
Brutality - When the Sky Turns Black
Cadaver - In Pains...
Cartilage - The Fragile Concept of Affection
Cenotaph - Riding Our Black Oceans
Cenotaph - Gloomy Reflections of our Hidden Sorrows
The Chasm - Deathcult for Eternity: The Triumph
Demilich - Nespithe
Funebre - Children of the Scorn
Gorguts - Obscura
Miasma - Changes
Order From Chaos - Stillbirth Machine
Serpens Aeon - Dawn of Kouatl
Therion - Beyond Sanctorum
Vore - Lord of Storms
Windham Hell - Reflective Depths Imbibe

Plenty more where these come from, just ask.

Yeah, i've pretty much have heard these releases already.

It's not the first time you've recommended Aeternus but i will check those albums in due time.

How does The Gloomy Reflections of Our Hidden Sorrow compare with it's successor?

anyone got opinions on the new Immolation DVD? is it worth $40 australian?

Isn't it sold out? I too would love to acquire this...NOW! I went on Everlastingfire.com and it said to go to listenable.com to look for it but the website is designed so badly. It says "Immolation DVD out now, buy it" but I can't find anywhere on the site to purchase it. Bastards.
