The Thread Where You Talk About Music You Like

Symphony X is awesome... I particularly like their self titled. A Lesson Before Dying makes me cry

Blasting BM is fine with me, but the production tends to make or break most bands. This is my problem with 1349: the production sounds too electronic and takes away the organic feel that I crave from BM.

I understand what you mean about the electronic feel of bands in the vein of 1349. I think its the combination of the triggered double bass and the tuning of the guitars?

New Sigh could use some...further mixing, but it's definitely good to hear after being rather dissapointed in Gallow's Gallery. I still wonder why every Japanese Metal band with keyboards tends to sound like Soul Caliber.

In light of the recent reunion (and apparent departure, AGAIN) of Ved Buens Ende, I'd been listening to them a lot, the actual releases as well as the demos of new songs they'd posted. Sad to hear them go once again, I was most looking for***d to a new album in 2007.
