so, instead of flooding the board (which is not about anathema anyway) with dozens of threads, put all the tour thingies (setlists, comments, etc.) here. i know few will resist and not start threads that will reveal how apocalyptic the x anathema gig was but control yourselves and dont do it. POST HERE.

woooooo - im going to see anathema in rome woooooooooooooo sorry but i am exceptionally excited only be young like, its a bid adventure (special thanks to opethpainter  ) woooo again heheh

It was exceptionally good yesterday. The only fucked up thing about the evening was that I missed Arnoooooo :( There were quite some technical problems as well but nothing that really affected the sound, it resulted in a few funny situations on stage actually. And Vinny broke a string during Judgement, and guess what, the string broke ON TOP OF MY HEAD (oh I'm cool now I touched his string) I was lucky it didn't smash into my face though.
Okay and here's the songs they played for those who wanna know.

Balance, Closer, Pulled Under, Natural Disaster (with Lee), Flying, Pressure, Release, Panic, Fine Day, Temporary Peace (with Lee), Forgotten Hopes, Destiny is Dead, One Last Goodbye, Judgement, 2000&Gone, Fragile Dreams, Inner Silence, Angelica, What Shall we do Now.

sol youre always hammering about the fact that we love anathema and that anathema is loving us. try to be a sincere loving person and maybe youll get them each half year coming over

im just workin on the boy his nerves actually :D

ahh, I forgot to tell how I dislike the backing vocals on Release live. I really really wonder why Danny doesn't just do those instead of using the albums's vocals, it feels a bit 'faked'. I'm sure there must be a reason for it though. I remember that Danny used to do it during the AFDTE tour.

alright, it was a nice show, quite relaxed. more often the smell of grass than of sweat, but in the end i think anyone in the public at least heard one good and one bad song. the mixdown to 'a unit' was perhaps not there yet , but it was the first night and technical stuff and their most doom fan wasn't there (well arno, you wun the doom contest i think  )

i remember danny saying he had a good time on stage (even though technical problems) and i had a good time in front of it. pity we had to go so soon after the gig, but nice to see you all, hopefully soon again :) (*whispers* accoustic gigs *whispers*)

If you browse even further down the snagt.net page you will find older pics with anathema and some acoustic gig that ive never seen any pics from.........

I can only agree with most posts on the tour so far: EXCELLENT !!!!
I feel Anathema have really grown to become a superb live band. This was by far the best gig I have seen.
Btw: some songs of AND were much better live than on the album: Flying, AND, Pulled under... Maybe they recorded them too fast, instead of letting them grow some more. What do you think?

Lawn (support and friends of mine) also played very well. Their bass player is in the hospital with (probably) food poisoning and they had to arrange a replacement. On the day of the gig they rehearsed for 3 hours or so and continued in the car on the way to Tilburg !!!. But the guy played very well and saved the day for Lawn :Spin:

I haven't really warmed up to the new album either so far. But hearing the songs live in the concert was a totally different experience than listening to the record. The atmosphere was simply overwhelming. The lads were in a really good mood - which was contageous :loco:. Together with the great vocals and melodies, it was just a perfect concert night.
(I'm speaking of the Berlin gig btw)

lawn was nice like. but i dont think that theyre grand. anyway it was good attending a non-metal gig.

the support in bochum (buried ... dunno anymore) was fucken horrible. like power metal without proper solo's....... and really boring and monotone. ew.
