actually if you have a fast computer why would you want to slow it down to feel 5 years older? yes it is possible to make vista usable with a fast computer but it would be proportionally more usable with an os that actually works to some extent

i use a real expensive computer at work with vista and it is a lot (a lot) slower than my athlon64 3000+ with 1 gb ram running windows 2000, especially before i turned off every retarded vista feature (search indexing, ugly "aero" interface, application pre-fetch, etc.)

i just installed a webcam and it turns out the linux driver is stupid and vertically flips and mirrors the image for some reason

so i spends a good fucking while trying to configure the driver and cursing about stupid computer crap before realizing i can, you know, physically turn the camera upside down
