Collide is OK. But in the songs I listened from Collide, I didn't hear any (symphonic ?) violin or something like that (except in Collide, my fav of the album) ; it is what I love in Comatose (the song) : the intro is awesome.
I love melodic / symphonic elements (violin, piano, keyboards etc...).

Savior has it, and Open Wounds has proggy style Keys. But Skillet is not monogenratic. That is, they (used to) change genres every album. Comatose was more symphonic rock. Collide was more straight-edge Hard Rock. Alien Youth was more Prog/Industrial. Their debut was Grunge.

S/T- Grunge tendencies.
Hey You, I Love Your Soul- Alternative Rock.
Invincible- Electronic, Hard Rock.
Alien Youth- Electronic, Prog, Industrial.
Collide- Hard Rock, Raw, occasional symphonic tendencies.
Comatose- Symphonic Rock, a little bit of metal influences also
Awake- Simalir to Comatose, but some really heavy songs. Like Breaking Benjamin or TDG!

I actually prefer the debut, and the MoS song comes in third (behind TSK and ToF). In fact, I'm listening to TSK right now. But you're right, the MoS album is indeed one of the best albums I've heard.
