I haven't even heard of the band.
I could burn a copy of Disturbed, the blank CD will be worth more than the CD with music on it though :)

Holy crap how to feel old, wake up one morning and realise it's 35 years since Judas Priest released Screaming for Vengeance.
(Today for you lot yesterday for me)
Although it's only been 2 years since Powerwolf released Blessed and Possessed so I still feel current :)

It's weird, I don't wake up every day and think "Oh shit I'm old" or any other such age related thoughts but every now and again someone throws up an album from my younger years and it's almost an uncontrollable thought.

I have zero interest in anything Ice Tray does lol

I don't know much about Wasp except that they aren't a thrash band. hopefully this guy can bring in more energy than the last drummer.

I like a broad taste in what I listen to, I get sick of listening to the same bands over and over again and I've been a fan of BC since they first came out. Haven't liked everything they do but always give it a listen as I would.

WASP is another band I've been hot and cold on over the years. Crimson Idol is a regular on the playlist in my place and few albums get played as often but I don't listen to all their albums. I don't know what Stet will bring to Metal Church but I'm an old school MC fan anyway so I don't tend to listen to their new stuff.

I just don't like Ice Tea himself. He comes off like a giant hypocrite poser to me.

Metal Church's last album X1 is pretty good. Anything after Howe I don't care to listen to. I just wasn't a fan of Ronny. The drums on X1 are pretty standard. They are fine but they don't add any energy. And just don't offer the power of todays drums.

Happy 22nd Megadeth's Hidden Treasures
Love that album.

Happy 3rd Overkill's White Devil Armory

Still not sure if I like this one. Maybe I haven't given it enough of a chance and I can't believe it's already 4.

Spunds like about 90% of all noted musos to me.

For us over here MC didn't make it onto play lists until Badlands and Fake Healer etc then they virtually disappeared so it's not surprising they are almost unknown here.

Can't stand Phil A but I'll accept the rest on the list above as worthwhile :)

Well we had a couple videos in the David Wayne era that I think probably did okay ( probably Neptune knows better than I ) but they didn't really take off here until Badlands. When I heard that I had no idea it was the same band as Watch The Children Pray. Didn't matter I was hooked lol.

No love for Phil huh?

Our problem back in the days of Badlands was we only had one TV show that played metal and it wasn't ever week but it was just a clips show, no talking, now news etc so although they often put newer bands that were just breaking the scene there was nothing else about them. Given it was before the internet it was difficult to get information about a band who had one song on a clip show and even some of the radio hosts didn't know about bands that had one video. Also back then not every band was making videos so it was difficult to be heard and bands like MC jsut didn't cut the regular play list.

I think Phil is one of the biggest dickheads to walk the earth. Never liked Pantera and thought Vulgar Display of Power which managed to break them worldwide should have been scrapped as a bad idea before it was released, to me it was pop metal without the make up (although I think they wore make up in the early days from pics I have seen)...but that's just my opinion. Although I guess the latest press surrounding Rex and whoever he thinks is a liar today just goes to prove they were a real band. :)

Apparently Judas Priest are releasing a mobile game today. I know it will be better than Ed Hunter ever was but given the Iron Maiden game that came out last year I'm not sure I'll be rushing to download it.

We didn't have it much better until around 88 maybe. And then Headbangers ball was in full swing. If I hadn't had friends with cable I would have been pretty screwed lol

Lol pop metal for Pantera? that's a new one to me. I thought that's what they were before Cowboys From Hell. I've gone through my fazes of not liking Phil. But he seems like a pretty genuine guy. He's pretty upfront with his problems and seems to be pretty forgiving of other people's bull shit.
