The what's going on in Thrash thread

Crazy. I don't recognize many of those bands.

You need to spend more time there than I do :P
Bands I remember from the list are Armored Saint, Sacred Reich, Space Chaser, Vulture, War Curse, Harlott, Artillery, Angel Witch, Exumer, Tyr, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Visigoth and RAM. I don't own all the albums from all those so it will be interesting to hear songs from other albums if they are all there to see what they sounded like.

Space Chaser are from the UK, probably one of the best recent UK imports in the thrash market, I posted their latest clip a while back. Vulture have been around for years but I've never really listened to them. War Curse have done a cover of Anthrax's Only, but they have at least one other album out which is on bandcamp. They aren't bad from memory.

I haven't checked the comments on the new Exodus song since the day it was released but this might upset a few people from what I remember reading. Posted on Exodus' FB page about the new song.

A Grim Reaper story. Lost legends: Bowie, Cash, Petty, Prince, Frey…lost family and friends, hear our tribute to the fallen on Deezer's Thrash Legacy playlist

Last I was reading the commentors wanted "the man in black" to be Lemmy. I've never heard Lemmy referred to as the man in black, whereas Cash has always been called the man in black so it makes sense they were referring to Cash, but commentors be commentors.

Hmm, crap, I don't remember the clip you posted. I 'll have to look them up. The name doesn't grab me though lol. But how can I not like them if they're that good? Are they one album in?

Yeah Johnny Cash is definitely the man in black. You can't just switch that even if I would prefer Lemmy.

Space Chaser are 3 albums in I think, I've only heard their latest and a few songs of their previous albums from the bandcamp page. A physical copy of the new on is on it's way to me at the moment. They are also German, not sure why I said they were from UK.

Yeah I can't understand how people got the two confused. I missed one or two of the connections when I watched it the first time but confusing Lemmy for the man in black is just wishful thinking.

The thing that really sucks about international postage is that we don't often get tracking. I've got 2 books coming from the UK and basically it's just sit and wait and hope something turns up.

Ours is getting pretty bad here for local. They passed some stupid new thing to "save" the post office. but it's really damaging.
Lol. I got an email from the anthrax store. they have a new hoodie. They want $90 bucks! For a hoodie!! What would that be for you? Like $300?!

Fark! $90 would be about $120, which is high for a hoodie. Locally we get hoodies for about $60, although nothing I've seen is new, it's all 18-24 months old. The dearest I've seen is $199 for a Testament hoodie, which was authorised but not from Testament.
