The what's going on in Thrash thread

Yuck. Reason enough for that face!

I haven't heard the album but I really think Jnr would be better off talking to Frankie about another A&A album rather than this stuff. I'm sure A&A sold more than this Lucid thing will too.

I wonder if that will happen again.

They were talking about not long after the first release, but I haven't heard either talk about it since. I haven't even heard Frankie say another in relation to Jnr for over 12 months. I'd love to see them do something else but I do wonder if Frankie's run away.

The comments. God. They're so funny. It's like most of them really don't listen to or know jack shit about metal. They just come to post stupid shit.
Bunch of posers.

Yeah I quite like song. I haven't worked out all the references yet, and I didn't see how they quiet fitted in with the song title the first time but the second time I listened I can see more of a connection.

It makes me think about what you told us about someone saying Anthrax deleted Jr from their anniversary episodes. I hope Franky wasn't part of that.

I'm still not sure I want to listen. Two songs is usually my limit before the album comes out.

Yeah there is a few things that seem to add up to Frankie and Jnr not ever going to colab together again but I think that would be sad, it might not have been thrash but it was high energy and sounded like they were having fun.

This one is a little different, heavier but slower, Zet's vocals are almost melodic in parts, but the riffs are there and it's definitely signature Exodus....but not as good as bonded :)

It would. It would be really sad if Frank pulled the plug because something private was made public. They could take A&A anywhere they wanted to musically.

Yeah that's definitely true, there is almost no boundaries with A&A. Maybe they couldn't mix hard rock and death metal, but they could easily do something extreme if it was paired with heavier music and made up a whole album.

Damnit. Now I must listen.
And it never will be! Bonded isn't even as good as Bonded!!

If you don't like it I'm not to blame :P

But is Pleasures better than Bonded. Is Pleasures better than the new stuff. oh geez the questions just keep coming!!

The first time I played it I clicked away to another screen almost immediately and that first vocal hit had me wondering what the hell Zet was doing. But thankfully whatever it was didn't last, and with subsequent listens I don't hear it the same now.

Imagine how it feels to be someone who actually needs to defend such statements :)

I just found out that Metal Blade has what appears to be a good portion of their catalogue on bandcamp. No idea of it's all full albums and full catalogues but there is a heap of bands listed. Guess I know what I'm doing this week!

I still need to listen to it again. Hopefully it hits me the same way.
