I've never checked it out. My eldest gets to watch the original Karate Kid as a part of their school projects this year. I wish we had movies like that when I was at school!!

We got shitty movies like One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest and The Killing Fields. Because you know all kids wanted to see Jack Nicholson and some huge Indian break out of a mental home knowing full well that the next movie you are getting to see is about the fun times of the Khmer Rouge

I've never seen The Killing Fields. I've just seen One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest last year. It's way different than I thought it was. I thought it was a dark movie. It's not at all. Lol, very lighthearted. If I hadn't been watching it with someone else I would never have gotten through it.

I didn't hate Cuckoos Nest, but as a movie to educate kids I'm not sure it's quite the right choice. Then again I'm not sure what The Karate Kid offers kids either, but shit it's a more enjoyable movie

Just listening to the morning news over breakfast and I can't help but laugh. For months and months we've kept hearing about Jokervic (the Serbian tennis guy) and his anti-vax status and that despite our country's rule that all tennis players must be vaxxed or provide a medical exemption he kept saying he'd be let in for the Australian Open. His Daddy told the media he was being treated badly because he's number 1 and should be exempt. Our governments said no. Typically our government backs down with only days to go and news spreads that the guy is on his way here and his vax status or exemption will not be spoken about.

Last night about midnight the guy was supposed to land in Melbourne with his team. There was a crowd of one single person waving a flag for him at the airport. But for the last 8 hours he's been locked in a room without his phone (so his father claims) and without anyone to talk to because he filled out his passport Visa incorrectly.

it's bloody hilarious now. It's been revealed the anti-vax exemption he filled out does not meet Australian rules and that the form has been filled out wrong because of it. If he was Joe Nobody he would have been returned home and no one would have cared. If he was Joe Nobody the President/Prime Minister of Serbia would not have tried to claim some political sovereignty bullshit. But because of who he is we are just supposed to accept he can't fill out forms properly. We've got radio people and tv people in this country claiming he should be let in because he's an elite sportsman!! Yeah that's the best excuse I can think of for letting a guy who can't fill in form properly into the country. I'm sure he'll be let in eventually, once the correct forms are filled out, just like anyone else, but I am still laughing at his fuck up.

They heard about his antivaxx ideas, they told him he couldn't come, he threw a tantrum and his daddy said we were picking on him, so the government acted like all was good, got him on the plane and all this time knew they had the ace up their sleeve because his form was different to everyone elses and the mistake was destined to happen, so they could knock him back at the last minute. But that would be giving the government way too much credit.

I miss tennis players like Stefan Edberg, Boris Becker, shit even McEnroe. Damn, that guy could spit the dummy and even when he was wrong act like he was a super star, but shit he was funny!
