Generation Kill apparently has a new album out tomorrow too, called MKULTRA. Haven't heard anything about it and Metal Archives is showing a track listing but no members in the band. First track on the album is the one released last year with Gary Holt

That doesn't sound like it's got a lot of backing!
I've forgotten if I liked that song or not. I know there was one I did and one I didn't.

Yeah the most I could find about it seemed to date back to last year when the singles were released. Seems odd given that Blabber often post his podcasts. Maybe the album's being held back and no one has been told.

Well I hope it's good. I'm kind of expecting a mixed bag. I hope I'm wrong. But if it is I hope there's more band than good.
I think what lets me down is that they are billed a Hard Rock/Metal band. I don't know why he wouldn't go full metal.

Just a thought, maybe a supreme court justice should be picked because they are the best person for the job. Not just because they are black, or Asian, or a woman. I dont care if they are all women of any color. As long as they have all Americans best interests in mind.

Yeah. I guess Biden made some promise of putting a black woman in before and now people want to hold him to it. I agree with AK don't do it just to do it. Do it if they are the right person for the job. Also I have noticed, especially this last two years that black woman (and woman in general) are being inserted into absolutely everything I watch (en masse, like 80% of the cast) and always into a main position. Whether it's good for the story or just plain doesn't make sense or not. Hell most of them can't even act.
It's making a lot of shows and movies that I like suck imho. If it's organic and or makes sense I'm fine. But stuffing the market and just giving out roles as an act of empowerment is stupid. I also don't see how being gifted something is empowerment.

By the way, I'm taking a break from Blabber. They've got three political dbag stories in row and more than that if you keep scrolling. Fucking stupid.
They've gone way overboard with this crap.

Yeah we have the same issue in this country. People aren't game to speak out and suggest the best qualified person be appointed to a role because too many minority groups start crying. We even have the opposition and several feminine groups here calling for the government to make themselves 50% female or better. How fucking stupid, we already have enough bureaucrats doing fuck all, the last thing we need is to start appointing people by gender because it's "fair".

Blabber is shit at the moment and it's easy to see why with the commentors fighting amongst each other. I'm skipping anything with the usual suspects and anything that hints at political leanings in the headlines. I might miss something by such actions but fuck it I'm sick of the shit. Bravewords and even Metal Injection don't keep printing all that political shit.

It's all fucking ridiculous. I'm all for fairness, all for it. Even to the point where the other side can get a little extra fairness and I'm ok. But when you start hurling insults and demands and saying what YOU deserve. And so and so needs more this and it would be better with more so and so. It's like, okay. Where were you at the point of creating all these things?

Yeah I have really been looking at less and less. But just seeing the headlines and faces of these morons is getting to be too much. Even just scrolling through. You're right, I've been comparing. And Bravewords doesn't do this crap...although I don't like their site as much. But I think that's just their layout. They don't really transcribe anything. It's like a quick blerb and a link.

The other thing that shits me about quotas, not sure if it's happening in the US, is that women are complaining they don't get paid the same as blokes and they have all this great data showing women earning up to 80% less than blokes. When such topics first started they actually compared apples with apples, as in two office jobs, or two factory jobs. but now days they are comparing shit like a company CEO with the second in charge, or a male scientist with a female nurse. It's fucking stupid. What's even sillier is that over my years I have worked in 9 different industries and in all of them men and women were paid the same for the same job so it's not even a common thing, but it gets brought up all the time.

Bravewords biggest problem for me is that their site often throws up errors. The layout is pretty average but I am constantly getting errors when I click links. I also don't think they dedicate quiet as much effort to the articles. Metal Injection doesn't get updated everyday and they don't have too much detail but they do often break news before the other sites.

I reckon the pay difference thing is something that happens more at the top end of town. Of course I have no evidence of that, but it never happened at the bottom of the heap where I was. Where I worked you were paid by the job you did, some didn't do the job and eventually got found out and sacked but in general everyone was pretty equal in the jobs I did.

Yeah unfortunately the bullshit pays the bills so people like you and I can read it for free.

Who is AK? Can't blame Biden for his consideration of a liberal African American Justice. I hope the nominee has the judicial experience and prudence to deserve the honor of the position. It is a branch that needs a hard push to the left after the last two appointments. I'm not sure that current Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is a good representative and advocate for that segment of the American population. I have seen news stories reporting that his wife was involved in funding or sponsoring some of the groups that showed up at the capitol last January 6.

20 years ago, back when I was an undergrad, me and my group of nerdy poli-sci friends were huge supreme court fans. At the time it seemed like it was the last bastion of uncorrupted political power in the US government. I'm not sure I can say that with a strait face these days.


Did you guys see that Vio-lence and Coroner have announced some shows leading up to Maryland Death Fest? Bought tickets for the show in Cambridge, Massachusetts!

I don't know anything about justice in America but the day people stopped employing the most suited person to the job and instead started looking to fill quotas of any kind is the day humanity took a turn and started going backwards.

Vio-lence and Coroner would be an interesting line up. Coroner were never a favourite of mine but I did like some of their earlier stuff. Have they been producing all these years or have they been 'retired' too?

I'm not 100% on board with Stu Block being vocalist but the realisation by Jeff that he needs a vocalist is a step in the right direction. Hopefully we might see a time where they find their way back to an earlier time.

If I remember correctly a few months ago we were talking about a new Hatriot album in the new year. There was very limited information and we could barely even find confirmation. Well I'm still finding almost no information about it, although it appears the same page that listed a January release is now saying March 25
