MEGADETH is tentatively planning to enter the studio in mid-2018 to begin recording its new album for a 2019 release.​

Now they are tentatively planning on going into the studio in mid 2018. The way they are going it will be 2019 before they've even made a definite plan.

Honestly I think you're missing some very good songs. But that is obviously your choice

That's not much different to me saying that I think your missing some great music by not listening to bands like Heidevolk, Cruachan or The Dropkick Murphys who are all regular spinners on my play list. I've heard Phil and Pantera I just don't like his vocals or the way he sings and his live show wasn't all that impressive

Yeah they sure did lol. My dad sent it too me. The only other place I've heard of roads melting is Hawaii. But that's because there's lava on it!

Aren't roads in the US made from bitumen or asphalt? The road doesn't actually melt, it goes down as hotmix and "bleeds" when the black surface gets too hot and begins to separate back to it's original state. Surely that happens anywhere there is a black top and warm temperatures.

I don't know if we have the same mix or not with the roads. But it gets to 109 sometimes in the summer and I've never heard of it happening. But I'll bet it happens in Arizona, Nevada and parts of Cali

Nope I was simply pointing out that I don't like Pantera with Phil and you suggesting that I'm missing out on something I have heard but chose not to listen to is hardly any different to the many other bands I do listen to that you don't. I'm not sure how that is a competition but it wasn't intended that way.

Years ago we used to have ads on tv that showed a bloke frying an egg on a paint can in the summer sun supposedly to prove it gets hot in this country but in reality like most countries we have different mean temps for different areas and our hottest area is only a few degrees hotter than Texas. The section of road that made the news is one newly laid section they claimed was 10kms long but the damaged part was less than 5km in a road network that is more than 400,000km. I'm surprised it even made the news especially since it's being happening in small sections of road for the past 40 years and never makes the news.

Can't say I've heard of the fill in guy but that's gotta be a hard gig to do so soon after the death. No matter how it's worded and what pressure the fill in puts on himself people will still compare him to guy who sung the songs.

I just think it’s a great way to pay homage no matter what!Fingers crossed the new Sanctuary sees the light of day damn it!!!

I don't have a problem with the homage part of it but if he fucks it up he'll cop crap for his efforts. If he does a good job people start calling for him to be a permanent replacement until he does fuck it up. It wouldn't worry me greatly I'm not a big enough fan to care who the lead singer is but for the die hard fans it could be a big deal so either way it's a pressured gig.

Obviously the fill in has taken that into account before accepting but look at bands like Queen and INXS who replaced lead singers. The guys who took both roles had massive shoes to fill, I say that without liking INXS, and they haven't been hugely successful because of fan backlash. The guys could sing and did preform well (except when INXS did the reality show to find their singer) but they weren't the original, couldn't fill the original and both bands foundered quiet a bit at different times.

Oh I agree,but it will be good for Lenny and the boys to get the aggression out and play those shows with some uncompromising integrity!

Nah I won't be buying Tankard there is nothing new and I don't need an alien.
I have however ordered Heidevolk and am considering ordering White Wizzard.
I'm hoping to get a preview of COC before I make the decision on that one though because BLS comes out next week and I'll definitely be getting that.

On previous Pantera topics it's just sounds like you hate Phil and that's it, I didn't know how much you'd heard I didn't mean you should like every Pantera song I'm just saying there are some Gems. And if you told me there was some great song from a band I don't know, I would check it out. The competition is every time I say something you feel the need to write an essay basically telling me I'm wrongin 5 different ways about a personal opinion. But it's cool that's what the net is all about..that and porn.

I just talked to someone from Arizona she said they put some kind of oil on the road to keep it from melting. But she has had her phone melt while it was in her car.
