The what's going on in Thrash thread

WTF Neptune! The Flotsam site is even worse! It has almost nothing at all. It was better off before Nanoman sold it to them. And then when Tanja took over we had all sorts of shit. Flotz radio, videos, free downloads of shows and b-sides. Now nothing. And the same old ass merch. It is dead to me.

And to me as well my friend! I mean I'm glad that seem to be getting the attention they deserve, but come on.Oh well, fuck it!Cheers to the days of ol'!!!

Did some more digging up in the reunion subject. Here are some bands you may not have heard are back:

Aftermath: http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Aftermath/527, https://www.facebook.com/AftermathChicago (the biggest surprise and hope for me, definitely)
Atrophy: http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Atrophy/647, https://www.facebook.com/atrophyofficial
Dead Brain Cells: http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/DBC/787, https://www.facebook.com/pages/DBC-Dead-Brain-Cells/19632656462
EvilDead: http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Evildead/1232, https://www.facebook.com/Evildead.Official

Some of them are even working on new albums. I honestly don't know how many good albums (let alone reunions) from bands I used to love I've missed. I don't have the time to catch up, but I know I'm going to regret not going to shows and not buying albums when the respective bands were still together. Many of the reunions are a waste of time (e.g. the legendary Vendetta was a joke), but there are some gems. I for one am thankful to have listened to the new Heathen and Forbidden albums or saw Death Angel, Exumer, Artillery and Coroner live. Speaking of the latter, they're are set to release 'Autopsy' 3x Blu-ray + LP / 3x DVD + CD on September 23rd and are working on the new album to be out next year. Can't wait for that. Here's how they sound with the new drummer, in a sunny, festival scenery:

and in darker places:

You are so right oneman! It's really hard to keep up. I know there are bands going that I had no idea were back. I know most of the bands above except for Dead Brain Cells....or do I? :erk::rofl:

I don't know, maybe that's because they're from Canada :D. If you haven't heard them, I reommend checking them out. Nothing terribly unique (can't compare with masters Aftermath), but good old school band, which reminds me of Voivod or Forced Entry a bit.

Weird I swear I replied to this a while ago. Not bad at all, definitely a Slayer vibe in there.
Yeah must have been the Canadian thing :D

Me either, awesome find man!!!Circa 92?always enjoy watching this lineup, cream of the crop. Thanks yet again man,you made my day!!!

Me too!So how do like the new album overall?Did you get your hands on that jap.version physical or digital?

Sadly not yet. I'm definitely going for the physical copy. I just gotta have it lol
I love the album overall, listened to it a bunch. It's so punchy! These are the best solos Gilbert has done since NPFD in my opinion.
He could use a little work on his riffs some of them are very similar to Ugly Noise. The New guitar player is pretty sick and I really like listening to the bass. The vocals are awesome. Some of his best work I think. I was expecting a little less vibrato on some of the stuff. And no slow song on this album, that's a first I think?
So yeah, really liking the album. Of course they could always get faster and I wouldn't mind...

Awesome! Nice to see they got a good long set.
Thanks!

Awesome that he's using that guitar with the whammy bar that he had on twitter for into the pit.
