The what's going on in Thrash thread

Lol oh yeah. Cartoon robo rape. Oh no! save the children!!

We used to have a thing here called "stylised violence" (or insert applicable offensive word) it covered things like cartoons etc. It meant they could distinguish between something like the GNR cover and real violence. When it came to the GNR cover it wasn't technically banned it was just used as an inner sleeve to hide the stylised violence. In reality it was the same result but we got a new term that they forgot about after 20 years.

Well I'm not so sure it was a celebration so much as a mark for their 40th. Except it's only Tom left and they weren't signed.

Oh yeah I remember that now. Well the demo I was listening to was '82 so it was still before they were signed but just after Paul joined. The 3 songs are Whipping Queen, Death And Domination and Warlord. It's the only recording Hamster was on.

Yeah they had that going around My God? Maybe a bit later AK was making a go at country. Glad it didn't pan out!
I had no idea he did Adler's Appetite!?

I'm going to find it and listen to it anyway. I don't have a problem with country music, I don't buy it but when metalheads give it a go I'll listen to it at least once.

No one knows who's in Adlers Appetite, not even Steven!

I'm not a fan of FF in fact the only album I've got is a pirated copy of the one Gene is on but this really does reek of horseshit. There was the band from Europe a few years ago who wanted fans to fund a recording studio because their album couldn't be produced in the studio the record company wanted to pay for. From memory they got what they wanted but the decided it wasn't enough so produced an album then asked for another round for album 3. Then there was a shitty band from here is Oz who begged "please help us gig up work so we can be full time musos", they failed and didn't get enough to tour the world. Now this dick wants money because the label has given him all the money they want to risk but he still wants more because the job is no where near complete. This dickhead would have been better off saying the money was for legal fees, it would have pulled at the heart strings of the 10 fans he's got.

I think this sort of thing is actually going to set a precedence. Too many bands have been lazy during covid and too many bands have been taking the attitude that they can't do anything. When things do start to pick up touring is going to be harder, and not just because Live Nation and other promoters/organisers will want to make up short falls quickly, labels will have tighter budgets and money wont be as easy to get from fans. Obviously it's just a prediction but I see more bands thinking this and other fan funded methods are ways to fast track their bank accounts back into the black, with kind words like "we are doing this for the fans" and "covid hit us hard" etc.

I understand his side. For some stupid reason he once again went with a retarded drum machine. Album done, money spent. Then realized like a genius that drum machines suck and went with real drums. So then of course everything else but the vocals had to be redone.
Greedy NB won't give him money all over again. So of course he has to go to the fans.
I don't see your problem with this.... .....

Dave: "It's great to have people say nice things about you."
Dave ten minutes later: "Nick did this"
Dave twenty minutes later: "Marty did this"
Dave thirty minutes later: "I like these people but they are all out to get me!"

Oh Dave sometimes it really does pay to think about what you say and when you say it.
His interviews should only come scripted by the Megadeth fanclub. Like the way Hetfield does it.
Music only.
