You have an image there? I just have a thumbnail I can't open.

It was a pic of 4 viagra pills.

Your post for the watch doesn't have an image for me until I hit reply and it shows in the reply box. All I see on your post is [ img ].

Okay so we all know the Grammy's are a joke, but I can't help thinking Power Trip are only on this list because the Riley died and it made headlines because of some TV host.

Who do you want to win the Best Metal Performance at the 63rd Annual Grammys
Body Count - "Bum Rush"
Code Orange - "Underneath"
In This Moment - "The In-Between"
Poppy - "Bloodmoney"
Power Trip - "Executioner’s Tax (Swing of the Axe) - Live"

As good as Power Trip were/are. I really don't think they made any waves in the sort of pools that the shitnoses from the Grammy committee would swim in.

Well in some ways I'd rather an even longer wait (because other bands are producing stuff) than a rushed album. There are albums out there that took less than 6 months to produce that are still great albums, but I'm not sure Anthrax are a band that can do that. It does seem strange that a month or so ago the official comments were "we wont tour until the end of 2021", and "we'll record when we can start playing again" and then within weeks they start announcing shows but no album news.

In a silly aside to Anthrax and their ways they are now advertising POT watches. To me it looks like a normal watch, but I'm not up with watches, the description mentions buzz words like "100% designed by Campo" (whoever that is), "DLC satin black coated case," "a Japanese mechanical movement", "Swiss luminova on dial and hands", "premium vegetable tanned leather strap" and "Dave Ellefson". I think a watch as an accessory for POT is quite fitting, but part of me thinks it's also just a little bit funny that after all this time they get a watch created by someone Jnr recommends when the original album had someone who is reportedly one of the best watch makers in the world actually play on the album.

In case you're interested you can have one for $512.00
Well sure a longer wait within reason! We're way past that in my humble opinion lol. Luckily there are for sure bands putting out great music.
I think anthrax was that band that could put out an album in 6 months. I'm not so sure about that anymore. I know great things can happen with more time. But I the best thrash albums didn't take all that much time. Sometimes I think it's best not to overthink aggressive music.

Yeah when I saw that watch I was disappointed. Looks very plain to me. I think Spitz would have done better. I wonder if they even thought about asking him. They do know he does that and does it well right?

It's just a complete joke. Not even worth thinking about lol.
I would be surprised if they even knew the guy died.

Oh for sure, the long wait is turning into an eternity and there really is no excuse for it. But I can put up with a longer wait now while other bands have new stuff coming, if it means they actually come up with something good. I think some of the early Anthrax albums where done in about 6 months, so you're right they could have once, but now I don't think so.

Apart from the POT letters on the face it really does just look like a standard over priced watch. Considering less and less people are wearing watches these days I would have thought they'd want something stunning. But maybe they know they aren't going to sell many, especially at the price, so they didn't really pay much for the 'special' item. I wonder if like you suggested they did it to piss Danny off.

I remember that well :). God where is the time going.

I guess Marty wasn't feeling well given the comment from Dave.
But Jnr says he was hyped after 2 cups of coffee. These guys were into some of the heaviest booze and drugs, yet he reckoned coffee gave him a buzz? Man I want that coffee!!

Yeah those days seem gone. They really seem to overthink things now... well maybe I shouldn't say that since they do get results eventually. But it does seem like they put too much effort into something that should be fun.

The watch is very underwhelming. And the price. Wow. I really have to wonder what they are thinking or how many they think they will sell. It's like they (Scott) are so desperate to be a big band like Metallica (never happen) or at least appear that way that they take projects because they have the opportunity and not necessarily because they are good ideas or quality.

Obviously we aren't privvy to all the stuff that goes down in the studio but to me it does seem like the bands of the 80's and 90's did have more fun in the studio. I realise a lot of things have changed today and some of those will have brought with them a stress level that wasn't there previous, but I still think there are quiet a few bands that need to get back to having fun and stop treating it like it's the be all and end all. After all it's not like pretty much every band out there hasn't released a dud. The same thing could happen again, so why not have fun and at least make it memorable.

Yeah I think there is quite a bit of follow the leader with Scott and Charlie. But I also think they are playing follow the leader with Megadeth and Slayer. Good luck to them for wanting to create some merch but a watch with a fancy price tag is not something "four guys in shorts" would have created in days gone by.

My latest glitch is on Blabber. It tells me exactly half the number of comments that there actually are on every thread.

Most of the time mine tells me there is 0 comments and then it wont let me scroll down to them.

There is an article from Jnr on Bladder, which really doesn't deserve linking to because it's just rehashed crap from the 80's. However while I'm happy to throw shit at the commentors on that site there is one person who hit the nail on the head. (Maybe Jnr needs to be hit on the head with the hammer?)

Tries to be everywhere, instead of mattering somewhere.

That really does seem like Jnr at the moment. Books, coffee, novels, shitty cover records, bad gigs. He really seems to be sticking his nose in everything just to be there, not actually being good at anything. Seems to me that it's time Jnr once again became part of Megadeth.

Yes people need t bring back the fun!!

They should write a song called follow the leader.

That's about all I can type. I had a bad reaction to the flu shot and I'm super sick.

Some fun in the music would be really good too :)

"four guys in shorts, who gives a shit, we follow our cohorts, we care where we fit."

Sounds like the flu shot worked then :)
