The what's going on in Thrash thread

I thought I already answered that?! :p. I'll check this out tonight. :headbang:

Yeah but you are bias and it's Kiko's song :P
I can't see myself buying Kiko's album (although I do own some of Marty's) but this song does sound okay and there is no doubt the guy is passionate about what he does.

At first it was the non pro trump states that were hit the hardest. I think due to the fact that they are densely populated and have big travel hubs. And it fueled the whole "this is a democrat problem or hoax or liberal issue. But it's obviously spread out just like the experts said it would and now those states are paying the price. So yes states have been shat on but it's more on the lines of political leaning. By the ultra conservative conspiracy nuts.

I don't know if this state will be the only one that gets the 'second wave', and it will no doubt it will be our fault if the others do, but at the moment I don't mind living in Leper State. It's school holidays for the next two weeks and boarders have opened up all over the place but no one is wanting to come here! Stupidly enough the states that are telling their residents not to do business with us are not stopping tourists from here entering their state because we might be virus ridden lepers (100 out of 7 million anyway) but our money is good to help their states recover.

I would want to write my own bass lines lol. Or as much as I could.

I'd want to write the drums and the lyrics too, even as the bass player, but I'm greedy! :) I suppose the fact that they have released nothing new while Gary was playing with Slayer shows just how little anyone else has to do with the writing process...maybe we should be surprised by such an article :)

Still haven't watched it yet. I did watch the one he released last week or the week before and I thought it was really boring. He basically rode one riff to death and filled it out with synth. The main solo was fairly cool though.

Lol, yeah I'd probably be a real bastard. I guess I wasn't surprised until he said he has Gary play the bass and he tapes it and that's how he learns the song. I thought he'd have contributed in some way. Personally as long as Gary writes cool bass I don't care too much. :)

Yeah it takes a lot for me to really sit down and listen to instrumentals now. I remember listening to Surfing With the Alien quite a few times, and there was a few instrumental records my dad had that I listened to but these days no matter who the artist I generally don't give them much more than one listen. Kiko might well be talented but an instrumental album of his doesn't make me that excited.

Yeah the whole country is hit pretty hard so I understand holiday destinations that rely on tourist dollars to survive being anxious to open. I even understand the massive flow on effect to the economy that we'll suffer for a long time, but there still has to be some limitations. I doubt we'll open international borders that quickly, but state borders are open. However all borders are open when it comes to spending money.

This 'second wave' thing has seen us again being restricted at the supermarket with single limits on dunny paper and hand sanitiser etc. But the funniest thing is that in Sydney, the city that is ragging us for having 100 odd infections, they are paying the police to guard dunny rolls at the supermarket so people can't take more than one packet each!.

Yeah that was an interesting comment. Imagine we all learnt new jobs at work by videoing someone doing it and taking the video home to watch, training would be so much easier!

I don't don't remember hearing anything before this one, but I also haven't been doing much more than skimming the Kiko articles lately. I pretty much only gave this one a listen because of Marty.

That's what I mean. That's not the song with Marty. I don't know if it was there and now it isn't or what. but for me it's just the old vid and a picture I can't do anything with. But this is what it's supposed to be.

No I won't get it either. I do like this one with Marty better than the first. but it's still not my favorite thing.

Ahhh I see, that explains a lot. I wasn't paying 100% attention to the clip, I was back and forth between browser windows. I kept changing back to the YT screen to see Marty and I never did.

Now if he had Dave do some singing and David do some bass, and I don't know maybe some dude named Dirk on drums I might be more interested.

That would be great :tickled::poo:

It would be. The same could be done for pasta, it all comes pre-cooked and cooled so you open the bag and all sticky and yukky. Flour could be mixed with water and it comes in clumps. Hand Sanitiser is nothing but water. However what would be really cool is that if these things had a shelf life trigger so that anyone who buys them for normal use, within a normal time frame, gets what they wanted, any hoarders keeping it for months get the dodgy product.

New (digital only) Insanity Alert single.
(it's not their best but good to see something new)

And a Live clip from when they supported Slayer last year
