I've heard others talk of this band before but never given them any attention. I think that might have to change.
Their new album better really be something else.Yep, that about sums it up. As you said above Scott sometimes comes off as a money grabber, but he also come off as very lazy when it doesn't appear they want to play anything more than mid tier on the festival circuit, and some pretty strange festivals too.
Yeah James is still higher than the rest but I think he does more with his money, those cars he's got can't be cheap and I imagine some if not all of them increase in value with age. I think the same site claimed Lars was worth about 220-250mill with Kirk down into the 200's.
The one that really shocked me was in Nick's book. He claims that Megadeth gross anywhere from $100K-300K per gig. Sure there is a lot of people to pay in a band like Megadeth but that is a hell of a pay packet to deal with every night
I don’t like it very much, but this what Greggy’s up to haven’t we heard of this band before I really can’t remember?!

I know Lars had some very expensive very ugly art but I think he sold those?
Yeah I guess I don't doubt those numbers considering Jr sued for 18 mill.
I wonder how big Megadeth's crew is. Because yeah that's some money to hand out lol.
Cool I'll check this out tonight. I don't remember what we heard from them before.
Added to my list tonight![]()
Lol I’d be happy with a $1000-$1500 a nightA $15m album
They probably all own houses that are worth more to them they sell for too. I don't remember if Kirk ended up selling his house but he was one of those musos trying to sell for way higher than the market wanted.
I think I remember reading at one point in Nick's book (or maybe Jnr's first one) that the crew on the road is between 50 and 100 people depending on the gig. But I'd imagine there is also plenty on the payroll who don't go to every gig, lawyers, accountants, admin, etc. It's a big difference from the $1000-1500 a night we used to get paid for a gig![]()
I really like Sepultura’s cover of Symptom Of The Universe so you never know.I had a bit more of a listen to it and it's very Cav-era Seps so there might not be much in it for you. There is some killer guitar work on some of their songs though, and they do a terrible cover of Rust In Peace as a tribute to Nick.

Ahhh the perks of being a rock godEven when there was 5 of us to split it with we were happy, some pubs even threw in a bar tab with that price
I still haven't listened I got caught up in Call Of Duty all night lol.In some ways Algebra (what a weird name for a band) is like Wreck-defy, not in sound but in the way they seem to have all the elements there but they can't seem to get them to all align and make something absolutely killer. There is moments of greatness, and even the production seems pretty good, but there also seems to be something that lets each song down.
Very well thought out. It makes me understand completely. I'm sure I would hear it the same way.I don't know why I'm listening to it but I reckon I've just worked out the biggest problem with John singing Joey's songs on that compilation album. He puts a stronger emphasis on words that Joey didn't. For instance the first mention of "thinking with your dick" in Keep It In The Family, he really emphasises the word dick. Then a bit later in the song he punches the word fuck out at the end of a line instead of just saying it. I also don't remember if the original had swearing in it given it was a single, I know other songs on POT had it but I thought Joey only added "why the fuck do you hate" to the live versions.
In other songs he also uses full words instead of abbreviations. In Caught In A Mosh he says There is the door, your name is on the knob, as opposed to Joey's original using the words There's and name's. They are subtle differences and not entirely bad but they do make those parts different.
Oh and Scott doesn't get out of it without a kick in the butt either his "WARRRDANCEEEEE!" scream in Indians on the compilation album is shit compared to the old days!
Yeah same here. Especially with all these get togethers he's having with other people online. At least we don't have to wait long.https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/vio-lence-to-release-punk-cover-song-on-friday/
Damn I'm starting to get a bit sick of hearing about this and not having something to back it up. Hopefully in a few days this 'punk cover' will give us something to look forward too.
