Funny story really. I used to hate his guts for a long time. Then one day we started pming eachother (mainly because I wanted some buttsex) and became pretty good friends. Then out of the blue the fucking BANHAMMER smited him and he was no more. That was all pre-social forum too.

dream theater is pretty boring and girly and i hate them, too. i always assumed metalheads were just kidding when they admitted to being fans.

But seriously, I like plenty of non-aggro metal. In fact, I hate aggro metal (Pantera) and metalcore and all that tuff-guy crap. I like Agent Steel, Psychotic Waltz, Cirith Ungol, Maiden, and all kinda non distorto-blasticular stuff. Beyond that I like jazz-fusion, Oingo Boingo, System of a Down, and a myriad of other stuff. I have just, on more than one occasion, been extremely bored by Dream Theater albums.

I may give Train of Thought a try. I can guarantee I won't be disappointed.

I like System of a Down too, though I didn't think much of what I heard from Serj Tankian's solo stuff.
