For some reason I like almost everything that Covenant/The Kovenant has done, even though a lot of it has qualities of a lot of crap bands. It could just be that I'm biased because they're the band that got me into black metal, but I find them rather unique in their fundamental sound, which can be traced through the various genres they transcend in their history.

I still anticipate their upcoming double album, Aria Galactica, but it may be crap if they don't live up to their "back to the roots" promise.

Oath of Black Blood is completely unremarkable. It seems to me that people will label anything as classic as long as it came out in the "golden period". Drawing Down the Moon, on the other hand, is something else entirely. I can see why people don't like Beherit, in general. It took me a lot of listens to get into their music.

St. Anger is a cop out answer. It's not very good, but far from the worst metal there is.
Dream Theater is seriously not bad either. You can find DT clones that are way worse.

Veles - Black Hateful Metal seemed pretty bad, unless I'm completely missing something.

The only ...and Oceans album I have heard was The Symmetry of I - The Circle of O, which is one of the best black metal (or whatever their genre is) albums I have ever heard.

OK, I'm listening to this album (Cypher) right now, and it sounds pretty interesting so far. Care to explain what's so bad about it?

Obsessed by Cruelty by Sodom is pretty crap. I love sodom, but that album is nearly unlistenable to me.

But uhhh, Possessed by venom, as well as any venom albums without cronos (minus Prime Evil).

Graveyard Classics 2 by Six Feet Under (truly horrendous).

As for metal albums, thats about it, short of Deeds of Flesh's entire discography being crap.

It's just a bad mix of electronica with bad metal riffs. Almost nu-metalish in approach.
