The only ...and Oceans album I have heard was The Symmetry of I - The Circle of O, which is one of the best black metal (or whatever their genre is) albums I have ever heard.

Awesome album...I think The Dynamic Gallery of Thoughts is EVEN FUCKING BETTER though...

OK, I'm listening to this album (Cypher) right now, and it sounds pretty interesting so far. Care to explain what's so bad about it?

Avoid Cypher, but get the first 2 albums and the third only if you really enjoyed those. These two are great and worlds apart from Cypher, which as a metal album is crap, but it's clear where the band was going (sort of fascist industrial grind EBM hybrid) when you listen to their new band, Havoc Unit which I actually like a lot more than the last two ..and Oceans releases. I think they were holding on to the old metal scene by a string and didn't want to be making that sort of music anymore.

That album is fucking fantabulous. I would just get 1.3.8 if you wanna get into 'em. It should be cheaper and contains their demos + that album + Babykiller (the definitive Devourment song imo).

re: ...and Oceans...I actually like Cypher, but it definitely is more of a "song" album than an "album as a whole" album. A few of the songs are fucking kickass, but most of them are below average or crap. Havoc Unit is bad-fuckin'-ass...total 180 from Cypher style. TRUE industrial metal!
