Things said way too often in the studio, I'll start.

"Finally we are done, will you tune the vocals later please?"

"We changed the members of the band again this week"

"we need to find a dj to do the drum n bass part of the song"(they never find it)

"can you duplicate that arm track 10 times , please?" come on.. learn how to sing first

i get that allot :)

Screamer in vocal booth: "Rawrrrr rawwrrrrrrr whrewwrrrrrrr!"
Me: "Dude, do that again but watch your timing and give it more power."
Screamer dipshit: "Rawwwwwwwwww rawrrrrrr rehhh."
Me: "That wasn't at all what you did before- what are the lyrics for this part?"
Moron facing mic: "Uhhh... I don't have lyrics."
Me: "Guitarist, can you scream? yes? Into the booth!"

Another one for strings:
"Hey dude, remember how I told you to put new strings on your guitar?"
Dude: "yeah, I did last night."
Me: "Well, they're dead because you were playing on them last night."
Dude: "But I just put them on."

This happens every time.

"but I got it right the first time, .. Cant you just copy and paste it? "

"you can fix that right?"

"i'm almost positive we play it 4 times instead of 6 when we play live"

'My guitar is in tune, listen!' (insert strumming noise of a very out of tune guitar)

My personal favourite though, 'can we just play the solo note by note? And then you can edit it together, right?'

You can fix that, right?

"Oh shit, I forgot to bring ___________" :bah:

^^^You ever read something and get flashbacks... like you were in Nam or something.... *shudders*

They are, the second worst seems to be bassists but then you can just delete their takes and do it yourself when they have left so it ain't so bad haha.

I try my hardest to fight this stereotype... and any other bassists I've came across that give validation to the above statement get a fucking slap...

(Excerpt from my session last night)
Me: Heres the playback. What do you think? (just trying to get through shit take after shit take, wanting to take my own life)
Singer: Eh, its ok. I can do better though.

Then he subsequently does several more bad takes. None of which is better than the last.
