Thinking of going to the pub.

i'm not really an addicted beer-drinker, can't relax and enjoy it as other do, seems my beer metabolism simply give up, in other way i have to go directly to the toilet along with some six-packs.
i prefer it fast and painless - vodka!
but red wine, red rum, met as well...

Damn, I saw some nice ones in these lists! (Hoegaarden, La Choufe, Bavaria, Hennepin, Ommegang) Those are some of my faves there. Anything Belgian I like really, beer wise. However living here in the US, they are kind of expensive so when it comes to cheap beer, I'd go with something like Steel Reserve. (8.1%........not the best taste but any beer that can get me absolutely smashed for under 5 bucks is cool in my book) Other Belgians I enjoy, Chimay, Duval, Orval, Duvel, La Trappe (although not Belgian I don't think) to name a few.

Ha! Great! I also like the Belgian beers. You chould check out Barbar - its a white beer, with honey aftertaste( 8%). And a huge hangover creator..
Believe me!
Chimay & Duvel are also good. But not for drinking fast. Check out the Dutch Grolsch. La Trappe is Dutch, brewed in the south of holland.
Beers to keep on drinking :
My favorites:
Effes (Turkey)
and Jupiler (belgium)

I'll definitely check out that Barbar, I'm a big fan of white beer. I can imagine with the honey's sweetness that it might pack a bit of a hangover heh. I agree with you on the Chimay and Duvel not being slamming beers too. My buddy always complains that I drink them too slow, but I like to savor their flavor. I do like Grolsch as well, for me it's in the "above average" class of beers but not quite in the "Godly" status of a Chimay or Duvel. I've only had Jupiler a couple times but I could see drinking that one all night. Quite tasty even out of a can. :Smokin:

I'm sorry, i really don't like that English beer. It's mucht too sour and bitter. After 3 bottles i think my stomach is turned upside down.
Another bad beer: Practically all the beer at Wacken. Only that white-beer went ok. The rest was, bitter, warmish gross beer.

Interesting, but it is still delicious:) Lately, I have also been favoring a local brewery about an hour away from my home called New Glarus Brewery. They have an excellent ale called Spotted Cow and a Red Ale that even rivals ESB. Great tasting stuff to get hammered to

today I've got a sixpack beer of a friend of mine, it's called Dilemma from a brewery called 'Hertog Jan'. It contains 2 kinds of beer, one with 6% and one with 7.5%. I like the last one better, it isn't that bitter. It's like it contains some stuff that controls your typing..
