Yeah but..

Who is that "Rover" he keeps mentioning?

Is he his neighbor's dog, gay lover, a ghost of his uncle? It really got me thinking. The line "He used to hide his bone, Rover was left out, alone." really baffles me.

Is the "bone" his own future perhaps.. as an undead skeletal canine? Is he ashamed of "the bone"? Any interpretations would be nice since I don't know what the hell this song is about.
