Seriously, I don't know why but for someone reason certain members feel it is necessary to split themselves into their own little "friendship groups" who have certain grudges against other members on this forum. Honestly it's pathetic how these certain members feel they have certain "Allegiences" to other members.

In some cases these Allegiences even lead to people making negative posts just because on guy said something nice about someone else. When I last pointed this out I was simply met with immature responces that sounded like they had come straight out of pre-school.

The term "cancer that is killing cobo-ot" is thrown around a lot, some say that it is the arguments (people were arguing all the time in '06 but nobody cared. So personally I dont think that is the reason at all), some say it's spam. But I think it's this recent developement of poster allegiences. It's getting to the point when one inter-friend will support another inter-friend in a argument even if the inter-friend is clearly incorrect.

In summary: Grow up CoBOT, post your own opinions, not the ones you feel will please others.

It's already a lot better, I haven't seen much arguing to be honest, but in place of the flaming there are little inside jokes style 'memes' being spammed by the same 6 or so member in every thread... so that needs to be addressed... '06 was a good year, but those days are gone, this place can be good-- erm, better, but there just has to be a conscious effort put forth by all the members, but again I would say we're on the right track so I have no real complaints I just ignore that goat shit but then again I haven't been around much so I can understand why some people are fed up..

Wow brilliant observation you oh so effective moderator.

If you're not blind then you'll notice that most of the shit that has been in this forum recently has surrounded these cliques.

As a member of at least 4 other band forums on UM I can easily see the differences between a forum that works and one that doesn't. Now if you would actually do you job instead of posting your sarcastic bullshit whenever someone complains then maybe we could get somewhere.

If I'm honest some of what I said was unnecessary. I don't think its possible for the moderators to do anything about this.

It seems the problem is the very mentality of the members of this forum. On other band forums discussions and opinions are based on the thread topic being discussed, that works, mature, intelligent conversation is actually possible when your reply to someone isn't effected by a bias grudge instigated by a silly little cliques opinion. Over here it seems that everything is based around who likes who, and who is popular. And it doesn't fucking work, it just leads to arguments.

Totally true and 100% agreed! It's what I've been trying to say but simply didn't find the words for haha. There are two sides to everything and there are SOME things that can't be prevented.. Methinks we can only make the best of it and transform what we have and ignore the rest.

The other side probably know who they are and pretty much need to calm down a bit. If not, there will be an intervention.

Agreed, that's what I have bee saying all along... Deron&Co have done everything they can aside from monitoring every thread every hour... which is bullshit and a waste of their time, it's up to the individual user to make any further changes to this place. 'Shape up or ship out' should be in effect, but let's also not take it too serious, I mean this place has virtually no rules nor do I expect there to be any, I expect a lot of childishness, and general chaos in the threads and inside jokes as long as it's not TOO much, you know... however blatant stupidity is just not needed.

No offense, Swabs, but cliques are going to happen, regardless of the forum (or even IRL). Fact of life.

If you feel the need to act introverted all the time, that's fine, but you can't fault people for joking around with others, forming small groups, and having fun. Humans, by nature, want be be part of a group, want to be part of a tight-knit community with others they can relate with. There's nothing wrong with that.
