Agreed, also, @ THE BUTT: Swabs is talking about more than just the formation of 'cliches', because as you said it's human nature and there has been the e-cliche here since '06 and before as well... that isn't even the problem solely... he might not have elaborated as much as he should have but everyone who is aware of the problem knows what he means. It's the behaviour of the few friends on here who are spamming their junk, probably harmlessly too, they're just having a good time but to the others here it's getting a bit out of hand... that is all, we all just need to work together, some of us need to be more patient while others need to tone it down

06 is gonne, as 03 is too and as all the years that have passed. I personally find stupid and useless to keep complaining about it. What's wrong with CK and Bodomonkey getting along well with each other and some users doing the Sausagefest stuff? If you don't like it, there are plenty of other threads to see, I don't go into more than the 10% of the threads on the first page, I just go to the ones I like, and it works fine.
Also, this is not a normal band forum, it's a fucking off topic, where all the retarded stuff or completely off topic as the name says goes. There's no rule that says that this is ''more off topic or better off topic'' than that other thing, it's just a matter of going to the threads you like. If the regulars now just like Sausagefest and Describe The Person Above Yourself then go just to the Guitar Players Thread, the Own Pictures and those threads and wait until new users come that are more suitable for the things you want to do here. I don't think there's anything wrong, cos it's just people tastes, and there's no good taste or bad taste. The goat and that stuf might be annoying for you, but it might not be for others, so then tell me what is wrong. But tell me what IS wrong, not what you don't like.

How long I've been here is irrelevant. I'm here now, and I can see that things are fine. Sure, the amount of spam needs to be lessened slightly, but it is nowhere near as bad as you are making it. You really are overreacting.
Not to mention, you're acting like you own the place here. If other posters are having fun, what makes you so important? All this "this place needs to bend to my whims" shit just makes you look juvenile.

And don't try to imply I simply want the forum to be how I want it. A moderator and other members of this forum can see exactly where I'm coming from, so "The Butt" all you're trying to do is start shit now. Don't.
All I'm saying is that I've seen this place being a lot better than it is now. And I think I (and others) can see the reason why.

I said this to Nick, personally I don't feel things are as bad as they are made out to be in this thread, but that's just me, and I can totally understand why people are fed up with it. Look, you make some good points that I have made before but they're wrapped in a lot of other things that aren't necessarily right (IE: Well this is what most users want now so if you don't like it too bad; just because it's popular doesn't mean it's acceptable or good).
I won't address this stuff anymore but it boils down to a few simple things...
People need to behave, even outside of this issue. If you can't handle that, then pack it in, bottom line. I think the few users who are the centre of this discussion should tone things down and everyone else should also try to clam down a bit and be more patient with them. Nick is here to talk to, so just drop him a line when you see something and he will deal with it.

I think that the groups problem started with all the AYDY? bashers flaming on people who liked AYDY? and the "noobs" who's opinion was different to the older members, and that's been carried on but it's turned more complicated than that. People just carried on ripping on others and the groups started to form. One thing that I've noticed over some time is that a lot of new members just stopped posting on COBOT because of all the bashing and flaming, or they only post on the Official CoB board, and the ones who actually stayed here are the ones who joined the bashers just to be liked, or the ones that fight the flamers...and then the groups started to form.
I think if we all try and stop all the bullshit, this place can become a normal forum again.

But if users like Gon, Joe, Corny, Eli, Mitch, etc... reduce their posts and what they say and that stuff might be because they find not interesting thigns to post about, so just bring them on and see if it works. If not either just lurk until things change again or just go to those other forums. I don't have better solutions for what IMO is not a problem.
