I just read on the main opeth site that Devil Driver will be the main support band after march 1st.

To anyone that's going to see that concert. Please throw things at that bands. Like lighters, or ...rocks.

I particularly hate this band for certain reasons, but throwing stuff at any band or performer is a bad idea. At least they are out there playing, even if I hate what they do. They still deserve respect for actually doing it instead of provoking violence over the internet.

Sure I'm just joking around. And when I'd actually be on the event I wouldn't really throw stuff at 'em *Just for the fact I wanted to see opeth later on, instead of being deported away or something*

But still, letting a band like Devil Driver play on a Opeth gig is just a wrong idea.
Devil Driver deserves as much respect as slipknot in my eyes.

I've know issue with Devil Driver being there. But...WTF!..They're futher up the bill than Dark Tranquillity!!! If anything needs changing it's the postions of those two bands.

But of all the bad bands Opeth have toured with lately they seem to be the one that Mikael and co get along with the most, so I suppose it makes sense. More sense than touring with other bands from the Sounds of the thingybob...

I've gone to two opeth concerts, one was supported by Extol and one was supported by Burst.

Burst just plain sucked. Extol's Vocalist sucked bad, but the rest of the band was quite ok.

We thought Burst were ok when we saw them. It's almost bordering on metalcore, not my thing but to give them their dues they were alright. I listened to some Extol when Opeth played with them on the mini tour midway through 2005, as i thought that would be the support for the much larger tour. I was wrong, but nonetheless i still thought they were shite.

Apparently their set-up was really shite on the euro tour with opeth, according to some reviews i've read.

I'm not sure if people just don't like his Nu-Metal/Coal Chamber roots or if they didn't like his new band. I actually thought they sounded good... well better than Coal Chamber anyways.

No reaction that I remember. I'm certain he noticed it. The band played their asses off & he constantly thanked everyone for their support, even though support was minimal at best.
