It also means that here. However, it also means getting to an event early, and hanging out in the parking lot of said event, and eating and drinking. It's most common at football games. People get to the games hours ahead of time, BBQ, drink, hang out, etc.

Well, I've never had a problem, because I've never gone to Camden. I've never even driven through it. And if I did have to drive through it at night, I'd treat red lights as if they were stop signs.

Let me talk to a cop friend of mine, whose familair with the area, and see what he thinks.

Ohhhh, like Heavy Metal Parking Lot at the Judas Priest show or whatever it was called? Soooooooooooooooooooo cool! Closest we had was meeting up with friends at a park and getting ratted on cheap cider, then moving on to the venue singing and shouting and having fun. We're too old to do that now :( :rolleyes: really, I love my friends, but sometimes they are such dull wankers (plus there's no good gigs to go to round here really, and the ones that are good only two or three people want to go to now :loco: )

Maybe I'm reading it out of context, but is he pruposely being facetious when he says he's taking them out on the road, or that they won't be playing outdoor or arena size festivals??

Either way, does that mean Megadeth are joining OzzFest this year??!!! Woohoo!
 
Am I the only one that finds it hysterical that this tour for the METAL YOUTH OF TODAY is headlined by a bunch of dudes with the median age of 58?

Yes, I believe it is a true example of Cryptic Writings. Actually, he says it won't be an outdoor or arena size festival in "all of the markets". I'm sure that means it will for "some" of the markets.

I fully expect Megadeth to be added to the bill.
 
There's a rumor on the Opeth board that they might be on the bill, in a perfect world they would be at least second billed and Ozzfest wouldn't have to turn itself into another nostalgia tour to survive, but I digress...as far as Dave's message, I doubt even his ego would allow him to refer to Black Sabbath, even in code, as a special guest...

Yeah, but look what happened previously. We got five years of nuMetal support acts!! Fuck the "metal youth of today" - in OzzFest language, those are mallcore kids and gromits that might have a Behemoth MP3 somewhere on their hardrive. God forbid we go back to the days of Marilyn Manson, Korn, Slipknot, and Papa Roach headlining. What a state of affairs that was.... :ill:

Are System fans chodes? I don't think my 4 friends and myself that like them qualify as fanboys, and I've never been to a show or anything. Do they all look like Serj? I could see that being pretty amusing.
 
That's brilliant. I don't have to concern myself with a single band on the second stage! I can just stay put.
