Shadowkeep are decent, but they are not even in the same league as Wolf or Onward, in my opinion.

they are more fresh, inspired, and with better singer than these bands u mentioned ...

I think that the people who voted were taking the piss, having a laugh, i cant believe how well Otep did, they really are awful.....its a shame that not much 'true metal' was included in the voting.

i think the OTEP message board people decided to rig the poll or something as i havent noticed that many OTEP fans around here ( and if there were any they wouldnt class it as metal)

The poll are not very reliable thats for sure. My band won best unsigned band of the year. I don't have a fucking clue how that happened. Kind of cool i guess though. We got 9th best newcomer/unsigned some shit in Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles.

As far as the new Arcturus goes, I fucking love it. But i've probably been listening ot the winds cd alittle more. Still haven't got into the new Opeth very much.

and yes, typical that opeth one. i didn't think that deliverance was worthy. i love opeth, and its a decent album, but they have found their groove. it didnt' even make my top 10 of the year.
