Tool - Ænima is the greatest album of all-time...

NAD will squirt his trousers when he sees this thread.
Yer damn right I will. Just did. Why?

BECAUSE TOOL - ÆNIMA IS THE GREATEST FUCKING ALBUM OF ALL TIME!!!

Only George Harrison - All Things Must Pass and Danzig 4p come close as far as I'm concerned.

Opiate rules. I squirt for all their albums. They are all so very different, so it depends on my mood when deciding which to listen to at any given time. I must declare again though...Ænima owns all of your mothers.

NAD, so which is it. Rust in Peace or Aenima? Fucking decide you wank
Holy shit you sound veddy British. :tickled: RIP is the greatest metal album of all time, but ÆNIMA is the greatest album of all time, any genre. I don't really consider Tool metal, or at least straight forward heavy god damn shit fucking metal.

Undertow used to be my favorite Tool, but ÆNIMA overtook it a few years after it was released. I stayed home from school on my 16th birthday and learned all the basslines for Undertow, that day kicked so much ass. :loco:

I think Lateralus will end up being the best album that this decade brings, so far I've heard nothing better. Kayo Dot, Jerry Cantrell, and King Crimson can't even cover the majesty of it.

Isis - Oceanic is still a monumentous album in my eyes.
That is indeed an awesome album. I'm a big man on atmosphere and feeling in music and that album is LOADED with it. There are certain albums that when you listen to it, you get a certain feeling that no other album has/can and that is one of them. Every Tool album gives me this certain feeling or moves me a certain way that I cannot explain. Ok, enough with the queer talk. :loco:

That being said, Danny Carrey's drumming on Lateralus is, imho, unparalleled by any other outing by any other drummer I have ever heard. The man is godamn insane on the kit.

I think Danny's best work is on Pushit, which is also my favorite Tool song, and, by chance, THE GREATEST SONG EVER RECORDED. That outro of The Grudge is pretty amazing work by Danny as well.

Ticks and Leeches was great live, except Maynard used a voice effect instead of throwing out his voice for two weeks like he did in the studio. :)

Dude, are you my clone???? I felt like I was reading my own words, lol. I AGREE!:loco:

he had a lot to say
he had a lot of nothing to say
we'll miss him

ps: this album is now TIED for BESt. ALBUM. EJVEra., listening to Danzig 4p 50 times this week, it is equal to it OMG

It is extraordinary, I first heard it live 2 years before ÆNIMA came out and then several times since. Best live band ever.
