As great as Aenima is, I still prefer Lateralus. Opiate is pretty good, but I think Undertow is way overrated.
As for APC, the first one was fair, but Thirteenth Step was outstanding.

I was especially surprised it was the opening. I saw that live (on the same tour, I'm pretty sure), it rocked. My fondest live Tool moments are when they drag out stuff from Undertow though honestly. On the King Crimson tour they played the song Undertow and [insert life changing phrase here].
